Answer:	I have the same kind of cover (with a magnet) on my 5th generation 10" Kindle with never a problem. It's designed to put the kindle to sleep when you close the cover. I bought it again when I bought the 7th generation 10" kindle and it does the same thing and is safe, as far as I can tell.

When the stand is being used in the " typing" position the speakers point away from the user.

Answer:	Its far better than without. My family broke one almost immediately with no case. We have 5 kindles and 3 are Fire 8's. We've always used these kind of cases and have not broken one yet in them.

Answer:	Fold at the "perforated" section into a triangle (see product pic on upper left). It's pretty stiff the first couple of times. The stand is only for lengthwise viewing, not " book" reading mode.
