Dirt cheap, super flexible, bundles x number of drives into 1 virtual drive space in windows explorer WITHOUT making your data unacessible without drivepool (just in hidden folders) seamless and invisibly super effective, auto redundancy selectable on a granular level, "feeder" SSD cache drive setup available. IHMO, the best piece drive management software out there.

Answer:	Wow... a question I can actually answer! The set up instructions are terrible but yes: it works well with TiVo. I had actually tried Apple TV earlier to stream and there was a sound video synch issue that Apple wasn't able to resolve. So I tried the readynas TiVo approach and it works great IF you can navigate the set up. What I can remember: 1. set up readynas 2. Copy the files to a video directory on the readynas3. Install the plex software on the Readynas4. Use the plex software to point to the directories containing your video5. To play a movie, navigate on TiVo to Music & Photos / PlexI found set up confusing and not intuitative at all but if you persevere it's a great set up.

Answer:	Absolutely via the managed web interface provided by Netgear.
Question:	does it come with 40tb
Answer:	While I didn't have the same issue as you are asking about, (I started with a blank drive) I think the NAS does not automatically format or reformat the drive and erase everything. When setting it up, it asks questions as it connects to your network. If it does anything it probably would tell you that the data would be removed if it couldn't read what was already there or give you an error message. As I recall, it is designed to physically add and remove drives, so it might add something to recognize the drive when inserted. I would check with Netgear support if you are still concerned. Obviously backup data before running just to be sure.

Answer:	There is no onboard integrated storage. This is 40 Tera not Gigabytes unit. It has four bays for 3.5” SAS drives. You can use 2.5” SAS with an adapter.

Answer:	1. The model listed in the question is a disk-less 4 bay model. This means as shipped the capacity is ZERO, no drives at all. 2. The model listed in the question specifically has a maximum capacity of 48TB implemented by ADDING 4 each 12TB drives. When configured, the user can make this into an highly reliable array of 12TB total capacity, a redundant arrays totalling 24TB (two redundant 12TB), or an array of all 4 drives adding to 48TB. 3. A single 40TB capacity drive is only now becoming available in the industry. The specs for the model listed in the question suggests the maximum size of any one drive in the box must not individually exceed 12TB (currently). This may be either or both a firmware (Operating System) or interface hardware limitation.
Question:	What is the difference between the desktop and enterprise style options for the rn
Answer:	You should use caution when using RAID 5 with member drives larger than 1TB that are consumer grade... The normal bit error rate on consumer grade drives makes an unrecoverable error on a Raid 5 rebuild likely. In my experience, RAID 10 is the better compromise - the processing load on the RAID controller is almost non-existent, writes are much faster. Of course the downside is that the RAID 10 only gives you 50% of the total installed capacity ( 4 x 2TB Hard Drives yields a 4TB RAID 10 Drive), while RAID 5 gives you 67% of the total installed capacity ( 4 x 2TB Hard Drives yields a 6TB RAID 5 Drive). There is another advantage to RAID 10 though - In both a RAID 10 and a RAID 5, a single drive failure should not produce any downtime; but if a second drive were to fail before the first is replaced the RAID 5 Drive is done, the RAID 10 has a 67% chance of still being fine (if setup as a RAID 0 stripe set of two RAID 1 mirror sets).

Question:	I am using cat 8 cables. Will this product work? If not what other switch do i need
Answer:	I think it sounds most like an MI Audio crunch distortion, which it is supposedly a clone of. The Crunch Distortion is supposedly based on the Rat. I've never played a rat, so I don't want to make the comparison. I will say for like $30 the joyo sounds really good, and after about six months of playing its had no issues. hope I helped a little

Question:	how to get plug and play to work? 14 ports not putting out IP, have modem and wifi router connected, but cant get other ports to work
Answer:	Go for it. My son uses one with a small Crate ss practice amp, and it sounds phenomenal. He has to keep the volume on the pedal very low though - set above 9 o'clock it was not pleasant. Set around 8 o'clock sounded great. I tried it through a JC-120 and I thought it sounded as good as my George Dennis Wizard Rock, which is normally my favorite distortion pedal for JC. But again, finding the sweet spot in the pedal's output level was important.
