3 best wireless router for apple

Wireless routers for Apple devices, also known as Apple AirPort routers, were a line of networking products designed and manufactured by Apple Inc. These routers were specifically designed to work seamlessly with Apple's ecosystem of products, including Mac computers, iPhones, iPads, and Apple TVs. While Apple discontinued its AirPort router line in 2018, they are still relevant to discussions about routers, networking products, computer accessories, and electronics. Here's what you need to know about Apple's wireless routers:

  1. Product Lineup: Apple's AirPort routers included several models over the years, including the AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, and Time Capsule. Each model offered varying levels of performance and features.

  2. Ease of Use: One of the key selling points of Apple's routers was their user-friendly setup process. They could be configured using the Apple AirPort Utility app on macOS or iOS devices, making them accessible to users without extensive networking knowledge.

  3. Dual-Band Wi-Fi: Many AirPort routers supported dual-band Wi-Fi, which means they could operate on both the 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands. This provided flexibility for connecting various devices with different Wi-Fi capabilities.

  4. Seamless Integration: AirPort routers were designed to seamlessly integrate with Apple devices. They could automatically prioritize network traffic for Apple devices, ensuring a smooth experience for streaming, gaming, and other activities.

  5. Time Machine Backup: The Time Capsule model combined a wireless router with a built-in hard drive. This allowed users to back up their Macs using Apple's Time Machine backup software over the network.

  6. Guest Network: Apple routers often featured a guest network option, enabling you to create a separate network for visitors with limited access to your main network.

  7. Security: AirPort routers offered robust security features, including WPA2 encryption and firewall capabilities to protect your network from unauthorized access and online threats.

  8. Frequent Software Updates: Apple provided regular software updates for its routers, which included security patches and performance improvements.

  9. Discontinuation: In April 2018, Apple announced that it would no longer develop new AirPort hardware. While existing devices continued to receive software updates for some time, Apple recommended users explore third-party router options for their networking needs.

  10. Third-Party Routers: Following the discontinuation of AirPort routers, Apple encouraged users to consider third-party routers, such as those from companies like Linksys, Netgear, and ASUS, to meet their networking requirements.

In conclusion, Apple's wireless routers, known as AirPort routers, were known for their ease of use and seamless integration with Apple devices. However, since their discontinuation, users have had to look to third-party router options to meet their networking needs while still enjoying compatibility with Apple products. These routers remain relevant in discussions about networking products, computer accessories, and electronics, especially for users with an existing Apple device ecosystem.

User questions & answers

Question: Can this be the primary router and also have the google mesh points attached to the network for additional coverage
Answer: Yes. Definitely. I did precisely what you are asking. I had a three piece Google WiFi system, but was not happy with how close I would have had to keep each one together for decent performance. Where I had them, I was getting about half the data transfer rate I was expecting So, I replaced the one that was connected to my modem with the more powerful Nest router. The difference was amazing. I got an increase of about 50% in the throughput measured at each of the three Google WiFi nodes with two of them in the same location as before. Then, I put the one that was formerly attached to my cable modem in a new location to cover even more of the house. If you want to get really crazy, build your entire mesh with nothing but Nest routers. You give up the microphones and speakers of the less expensive Nest points (which I didn't want anyway), but gain more coverage and better performance. When I did that, my performance nearly doubled over what it was with the Google Wifi system I started with.
Question: Funciona en español
Answer: Si por medio google home lo configuras y muy bien recomendable soporta muchos dispositivos
Question: Is this compatible with previous google wifi devices? if i have the google mesh wifi (two hubs) and buy this as a third? will that work
Answer: If you’re an existing Google Wifi user, you can opt to add your existing Google Wifi network and devices to the Google Home app. You can also FDR your Google Wifi system and set them up as Wifi points to add to your Nest Wifi network.
Question: Can i connect this as a additional wifi to my old google wifi network
Answer: Yes.
