Answer:	I do not see any mention of hooking an external antenna to this unit in the owner's manual.

Answer:	This product is a wireless access point, often called simply an AP, or Access Point, and as such it doesn't have a WAN (wide area network) uplink port. You would connect this product to a regular LAN (local area network) port on an Ethernet (wired) router which in turn would be connected via its uplink port to a source of Internet access such as a cable modem that has been supplied to you as part of your cable company Internet access plan.
Question:	How do I get this to work as an access point with my Xfinity gateway/modem/router? It's connecting but no internet
Answer:	1. You have to program the AC1200 using the admin account to act as an access point. Connect your pc directly to the AC1200. Turn the AC1200 on before you turn on your pc so that your pc gets a tcpip (internet) address that is compatible with the AC1200. 2. Login to the AC1200 with the admin account. Use your web brouser to get to the admin account. The default web address is usually 192.168.0.1 3. You have to disable the dhcp function on the AC1200. The Xfinity router needs to be the only device to assign dhcp addresses. If you don't disable the AC1200 from assigning dhcp addresses it will create a subnetwork that is separate from the Xfinity network using a different address range. (Usually starting with 192.168.000.002 to 192.168.000.255). 4. Setup any security settings and network names before you enable the access point mode. 5. Save your new settings and write down any passwords that you may have changed. 6. I also usually put a static IP address in the access point that is in the range of the Xfinity router. That way you can gain accesss to the AC1200 later because you know its address. 7. Plug in an ethernet cable from the Xfinity router to one of the 4 lan outputs of the AC1200. It might also work if you use the wan port (yellow connector) if Netgear updated their software. If you use one of the 4 outputs it guarantees that the access point will be part of the existing Xfinity network.

Answer:	A WAP or Wireless Access Point is different than a "repeater or WiFi extender". The primary function of this device is to plug a Cat 5/5e/6 cable into one of the ports. It connects by "hardwire" to your network first, then broadcast the WiFi signal. A WiFi Extender/repeater on the other hand connects by wireless to another wireless access point. You must determine "where" you want to connect first. The "range" will determine the antenna selection. Answer:	You would need a Powered Antenna adapter. Basically the powered antenna hooks to the RP-SMA slot, then has the powered hub, and then you put a % dbi antenna on it and it'll get 2x more antenna strength. Even 2x more then what you'll use for a higher DBI antenna. So if you use a 24dbi antenna, it'd more be like a 48dbi antenna. Answer:	This is a wireless access point not a router, that means that it only provides a wireless signal for computers, tablets phones etc. It must have a wired connection to it from the internet. It does not have a firewall so if you have a internet connection only at this time you should get a model with a router/firewall not this model.

Answer:	It's going to be connected to the same network and can have the same SSID. I use mine as an access point at the other end of the my house and gave it a slightly different name so I would know which device (my router also has wireless connectivity). I could always look at signal strength and tell the difference, but I like the slightly different name.

You'd have to pay a little more money for a different device with a GigaBit ethernet port if you want to get anything more than 100Mbit out of this ethernet port.

Answer:	I can not say with a specific model. As long as it is true POE with sufficient output per port then it should. I use mine with a BV Tech 8 port POE switch that has 130W Max Power (up to 30W per port) and this works perfectly with the POE line extended 100 ft per line.
Question:	will this unit work seamlessly with the fios home router model: g3100 wi-fi 6 (802.11 ax) or are additional accessories required
Answer:	I don't know the precise definition of "extender", but I know that you can set up two WAC5xx units in bridge mode, with one connected to the wired network and one freestanding, to "extend" your network. If there is a bridge mode option on the wnd930 ap, it may be compatible.
Question:	Does the AC1200 access point have to be powered by poe or is it a led to be plugged in to an outlet
Answer:	Yes, the second port can be used to connect to another device. I have a cat8 Ethernet cable coming from the second port to a 1 gb switch and have three other computers connected to that switch and the throughput is 1000mbs just as it is from the switch that this access point is connected to. No speed loss. My cable from switch that has xfinity internet up to the Netgear access point is cat7 heavy duty outdoor. I have had no issues or drops in speed.

Answer:	WAC510 has better rateVsrange than uap-ac-lite and uap-ac-lr. WAC540 is a 4x4 and is better than uap-ac-pro.

Answer:	Yes the EX8000 used as a wifi extender you have the option of having a guest network. You can use same SSID name as your main router or use a different SSID altogether. I did have issues with more than one extender on the same network using same SSID name as main router so I had to change one of the extenders to a different SSID.
Question:	Has anyone connected a ps4 of xbox one to the wifi from the range extender? if so, signal and game play any good
Answer:	If you mean an AT&T router signal, yes. If you mean cell tower signal, then no.
Question:	Does it create a new sid or does it exteneded your current sid, so one does not have to switch to differing networks when in range
Answer:	the input voltage is from 100 to 240 volts
Question:	I don't understand how some people give this 4-5 stars and others can't get it to work and give it 1 star
Answer:	there are 4 ports. I use multiple ones as this is the only system I can find that does not change the network name but once a year I also have one break and have to replace it or hard reset it myself.
