Basically the powered antenna hooks to the RP-SMA slot, then has the powered hub, and then you put a % dbi antenna on it and it'll get 2x more antenna strength. Even 2x more then what you'll use for a higher DBI antenna. So if you use a 24dbi antenna, it'd more be like a 48dbi antenna. Answer:	It's going to be connected to the same network and can have the same SSID. I use mine as an access point at the other end of the my house and gave it a slightly different name so I would know which device (my router also has wireless connectivity). I could always look at signal strength and tell the difference, but I like the slightly different name.

Answer:	THis picture isn't like the extender I purchased. The one I got is white and was mounted in m y sunroom. However, the electrical plug quit working and I had to move in out in my breezeway. So far so good. Think I will put some kind of protection between it and the north open wall near it. Only time will tell how the exposure affects it.

Answer:	Yes. though the instructions must be outdated or something. there is no "quick setup" option. First connect one computer and connect to the IP address of the router(192.168.0.1) via a web browser. You will then create a username and password for the router. In order to get the other devices to receive internet, you must go to Network settings>WAN and turn those ports to LAN by selecting the radio buttons above them. Only the port connected to the Modem should be "WAN". Then you can go to Network Setting > LAN, select DHCP Client list from the top ribbon, and you will see the connected devices.
