Your ISP will often install a cable modem/router combo for you but they will also charge you a monthly fee to lease it from them. I have found that you will recover the cost of buying and using your own modem within the first year and then save, on average, about $120 per year thereafter by using your own.

Answer:	This has a 1200 meg maximum output on the wifi between the 5G & 2.4 ghz channels and gigabit throughput on the LAN ports. Answer:	Yes. When I upgraded to home+, it resolved the issue. I kept my Orbi router, but I turned off the Disney Circle that came with the Orbi and only use the new Circle home+. You can't use both at the same time. I thougt I would need to upgrade my router, but once I turned off the built-in circle it ran fine, so I'm going to wait before I spend money upgrading the router.
