For example there is a router(with internet access) around 100 feet, and there are some trees :Dand I could connect to that router. Answer:	I'm hitting my barn at just around 200 feet away with a -41 dBm signal. At that distance, I have no problem controlling my Sonos unit inside my house from my phone inside the barn. So... yes. In AP mode you should have no issues getting a good signal out to 200 feet and yes, your phone should have plenty of power to transmit a signal back to the AP.

The V3 device is identical in appearance to the EAP225. The EAP245V3 is a "wave 2" AP, which is the latest technology used for environments with multiple APs and multiple simultaneous clients.

Answer:	For the reviews that say you need a bridge, this is not necessarily true. I mounted this access point 120 from my guest cabin. Wifi signal works great in the cabin. (see my full review) So this unit can work to extend WIFI to a she-shed under the right conditions.

Answer:	Dbi is a measurement of the power. The theory is, increasing the power should increase the range but it rarely works that way. The general rule is for a DB is every 3db increase doubles the power so going from say 5 to 8 would be 2 times but going from 5-11 would be 4 times the power. Problem is that signal loss over distance also follows this a similar rule so the rate you lose increases with distance.

Answer:	I just added the outdoor Orbi to my network. Claims that it can add up to 2500 sq ft outside seem fairly accurate to me. Prior, I lost my WiFi signal about 15-20 feet from my home with 2 satellites attached to my mesh network. I am now receiving a strong signal approximately 50 feet in all directions from my house. A little further, say 100 feet, in my backyard where I installed the satellite. My only criticism is that the plastic casing seems a little “cheap”, considering the cost and the fact that it is supposed to be “all-weather”. The satellite is also larger than I anticipated. I wouldn’t completely rely on the included base stand. It is very lightweight and feels top-heavy when the satellite is attached. You would be better off mounting it to the home or a fixed structure.

Answer:	Yes, the RBS50Y is in same series and will work with the Orbi RBR50. Yes, you can connect more satellites, but remember they share a backhaul circuit. If you can hard wire any of them back to the router, that would help performance. I have two that are hard wired and one that is wireless.

Question:	Need help, just to be sure, if i understand correctly; can i setup and use this via wi-fi in repeater mode with no ethernet cable nessesary
Answer:	You can. First though when you first setup using the ap.setup through your browser (on the ap's wifi network default) be sure to go to wifi advanced settings and change its band from 20/40 (default) to 20 Mhz. In the usa 20 is the only one that works the rest will have a dropping signal issue. This is not a mesh so you will have to have different ssid to work. Once you go to wizard simply click the ap mode to repeater and then link to your existing wifi. Also UPDATE THE FIRMWARE. It will save time to do this now. But the other part of this question is the cable. There is technically an ethernet cable that has to come out of it and go to poe plug in. But that part itself does not need connected to the LAN.

Answer:	This iten doesn't appear to have a direct connection for the AC adapter, so an "Ethernet" cable is used to power this item.
