Net bios names currently don't flow over the VPN so you'll have to access network resources by their IP address and both networks can't be on the same subnet, meaning 192.168.1.x can't be the same on both sides, so one side needs to be 192.168.2.x or something completely different like 10.0.0.x. VPN's are getting easier because of products like this but you still may want to get professional help.

The power supply supplies 12 VDC and is NOT compatible with 220v. Power supply is P/N 332-10301-02, Model: AD817F10, Type: 007-2LF, Input: 100-120V- 0/60hz, Output: 12V 1.5A. Answer:	Yes. Connect the R7800 to the FiOS router (they don't use modems) by attaching an ethernet cable to one of the FiOS router's LAN ports, and the other end to any of the ports on the R7800. Then set up the R7800 in AP mode, and disable the Wifi of the FiOS router (not critical, but neater). The FiOS router will assign all the IP addresses, and the R7800 will provide wireless services. Works like a charm. You can use the LAN ports of both the FiOS router and the R7800 for wired connections.

User questions & answers

Question:	How many Port Forwards or Virtual Servers are supported? Most consumer class routers only allow 16-20, I need more than that
Answer:	No it does not- I received my order today (1/11/21) and it is the same one at my local grocery store.
Question:	Does this switch support link aggregation ? Looking to hook up a decent Synology NAS which has two Ethernet ports to utilize the higher throughput
Answer:	We do not. Only ship in the US
Question:	Is the radio power adjustable? I.e., can you turn the transmission power down for smaller areas
Answer:	No. It is a thick luscious syrup and does not leave any after taste like artificial sweeteners can. The only difference I can detect between it and real maple syrup is it does not seem quite as sweet.
Question:	Can I attach this to a cable modem and use simply as a router
Answer:	The Lavanko syrup is thinner and sweeter at first, but does have an off after taste and feeling on the tongue. This one is thicker and more like 'real' syrup but not as sweet at Lavanko or the real deal. I'm planning to try the other flavors to see if they are sweeter than this maple flavor version, but between the two, I choose this one over Lavanko.

User questions & answers

Question:	How would you describe the 5GHz range and performance at a distance
Answer:	5 GHz band can be thrown only so far. It's not meant to be a long throw radio band but a short thrown band that is higher speed. If you want a stronger 5 GHz band for homes that are usually 4,000 sq ft or larger you may not have enough juice with this unit to cover your home unless you can place this in the middle of your house, which isn't always an option. I recommend getting range extenders/repeaters if you want to cover a very large home or property. Place your router near the middle of your home if you can and install extenders on opposite sides of the house. This will give you a wider throw and allow wireless connections well outside of your home if you would like good connection while out in your yard. If you live in a 2,000 sq ft house this should be powerful enough to offer a strong 5 GHz band no matter where you are. If you live in annolde home or highly insulated home then it's hard to say - radio waves diminish more when fired through walls/floors.
Question:	Can this handle multiple xbox ones with open nat
Answer:	Even the cheapest routers are fine upto about 128 sessions. This router does fine on 256 session. Unless you plan on having more than 256 Xboxes connected, this router will be fine. Your internet connection is a different issue.
Question:	Should I buy this router or keep my x8 router
Answer:	The X8 looks like it has more capacity. They're both mu-mimo and the x8 has 6 ports opposed to 4. One of the big reasons I bought this was the operating system (look up Netduma). So far haven't had any issues - even just watching youtube haven't had the buffering and quality issues I had just using my AC1900 modem router. If you're not having issues you may want to stay with what you got, but if you want the benefits of the dashboard and operating system, and have the money, you can give it a try,
Question:	Can this router just be used for other than gaming?. I don't do games
Answer:	Yes you can. dumaOS makes it easy to setup and configure your network and router settings. The dumaOS adds a bit more to the price vs the Netgear X4S (which is the exactly the same router in terms of hardware spec). If you want to save a bit of money, go for the netgear X4S, which is also a fantastic router. Good luck.
