Answer:	Yes it can. I have a Verizon router too and turned it off so as not to interfere with the Google WiFi mesh (you don't want to have two networks/NATs). I don't recommend these as they are not working properly for me after having them for a year and don't seem to be supported properly by Google as they are sending updates that work with their newer Nest Wifi. Best to use ero 6.

Answer:	If your hotel has no WiFi password, and instead a third-party “connect” page that automatically loads when you connect to the WiFi, this can be used as a WISP Client to bypass this step for future device connections. This means in your hotel room, you can connect smart devices, Chromecast, smart lights, cameras, and more easily connect Alexa or Google home! A big “however,” WISP mode can only be used to repeat the WiFi signal from the hotel. It CANNOT be used to connect directly to an Ethernet port in your hotel room. This means it won’t be as fast as a direct connection, but I’ve had no troubles with the speed in this mode for streaming media and using smart devices. To use the WISP Client Router Mode, connect the Ethernet cable from the router to your computer (NOT an Ethernet port in your room) and connect the power cable to the router. Navigate to the TP-Link provided URL in your computers browser. Login using the provided credentials. In Quick Setup mode, you’ll see the option for WISP Client Router mode. In the next step, select Dynamic IP Address and hit next. In the following step, select your hotel’s WiFi (if there are multiple, choose the one with the strongest signal). You may be directed to the hotel’s third-party “connect” page at this time, in which case you will have to click connect as you usually do, but the router will retain this connection so the devices you connect to this router will not have to be directed to the connect page. If you are not directed to the “connect” page at that step, make sure to test out the connection after set up by connecting your computer to your new travel router’s WiFi and navigating to any website in your computer’s browser, using the “connect” page if you are directed there at this time.

Answer:	TP-Link AC750 Wi-Fi Travel Router: Switch set to "Share Hotspot" Hotel has Wifi with a password. Once linked to hotel Wifi you have to open a web page that authenticates your device. Connecting the TP-link router: I connected to the router, scanned for wifi networks, selected hotel wifi network and entered the password. After connection I was not able to see the internet. I then connected to the TP-Link wifi from my phone and browsed a web page. I got authenticated onto the hotel wifi (now via TP-link) and was then able to connect other devices to the TP-link router. After I switched the TP-link off and back on again simulating what might happen while room gets cleaned it was not needed to connect to the TP-link and do the hotel web authentication again. I will monitor this over the next few days to see if any further information is needed for this discussion. I added my experience as I struggled a little to follow the previous suggestions. Thank you though to those that did respond as it got me on the right direction.

Answer:	I have CenturyLink 1gig fiber service only and this works well to replace their "modem" which is not a modem. It will not work as your only device if you thier TV or phone service. To replace internet only service you need your PPPoE username and password (can call and get from century link) to enter into the router. Then there is a setting on the router for VLAN tagging which needs set to 201. Then you send thier crappy "modem" back and tell them to take off your monthly "modem" lease fee. Provides much faster speed throughout my home!

For instance, I have a condo in Singapore and a house in Massachusetts and I use this device so that I can connect my 2 networks together and sync files from one location to the other. It also allows you to set up your own VPN service on the LRT214 so that you can connect into your home from your laptop or tablet when you're traveling around the world. For this, you don't need a VPN service: in some ways you become your own VPN service as long as your home/office has a publicly-available IP address (depends on the ISP, most support it or require a "business Internet connection". A VPN service setup like you're asking about wouldn't work since it doesn't connect the 2 parts together, it just connects them individually to the Internet. Answer:	I can not say with a specific model. As long as it is true POE with sufficient output per port then it should. I use mine with a BV Tech 8 port POE switch that has 130W Max Power (up to 30W per port) and this works perfectly with the POE line extended 100 ft per line.

Answer:	I don't know the precise definition of "extender", but I know that you can set up two WAC5xx units in bridge mode, with one connected to the wired network and one freestanding, to "extend" your network. If there is a bridge mode option on the wnd930 ap, it may be compatible.

Answer:	Yes, the second port can be used to connect to another device. I have a cat8 Ethernet cable coming from the second port to a 1 gb switch and have three other computers connected to that switch and the throughput is 1000mbs just as it is from the switch that this access point is connected to. No speed loss. My cable from switch that has xfinity internet up to the Netgear access point is cat7 heavy duty outdoor. I have had no issues or drops in speed.

While there are routers out there that are also a modem and serve as a dual purpose modem and router in one this is solely a router ONLY so does not "have" DOCSIS 3.0 although it will work just fine with a modem that has DOCSIS 3.0.
