Answer:	Technically, no you don't. You can set up any router to communicate with other computers or devices (think printers, scanners etc.) in your network. Now if you expect access to the internet, then yes you do need internet service.

"As always, your mileage WILL vary!" Answer:	in my opinion this will help. before I got this router I had a smaller one. Then we started adding more technology in our home (smart TVs, tablets, etc) and the connections kept dropping. I got this router and I have not had an issue since.
Question:	I upgraded to 200mbps internet speed. i alreay purchased arris surfboard sb6 as the modem. will speed test show 200mbps or trottle it down at 100mbps
Answer:	What model of modem did you buy? Usually, the model number on the surfboards look like sb6xxx. Since you are paying for 200Mbps, your modem is going to be the first chokepoint but if you bought a DOCSIS 3.0 modem, then you should be able to reach speeds of 300Mbps. This specific router states on Linksys.com that the max link rate is 867Mbps. Given that you are hard-wired with cat 6 ethernet cable installed correctly (i.e. no runs over 100ft, no kinks, etc.) then you should be able to hit your 200Mbps speed provided by your ISP. Your wireless speed is determined by the server you are pinging as well as interference in your area and other devices in use on your network. A caveat, though, is that each category of internet speeds provided by your ISP is usually "up to..." so basically they will provide speeds up to the 200Mbps but no lower than the category under the one you pay for. Answer:	Yes, Give the router its own IP and then turn off DHCP. Plug cat5/6 into ports, 1-4 ( cable coming from other router. Depending on how many times you have added a router, will depend on the IP that you give it. If this is just the 2nd router, setup IP as 192.168.1.2, then make sure all your wireless settings are correct, and turn off DHCP. Power cycle the router and your should be good to go. I have 4 routers on my network.From the looks of some of the comments, I don't think there is a clear understanding of repeater and bridge and extend. Please learn what all these mean, in terms of networking, before you answer a question. You are only misleading people. This is and cannot be a repeater. You WILL need a network cable run from either your modem, or another router, to supply internet.

I don't recommend these as they are not working properly for me after having them for a year and don't seem to be supported properly by Google as they are sending updates that work with their newer Nest Wifi. Question:	Can anyone measure the spacing between mounting holes on the back
Answer:	I have used several different Motorola Routers and I have one at my house that is 10 yrs old. The technology change will be the death of your router. Keep it on a surge protector and it should be good for at least 5 years. But you never know what will be developed that you have to have to increase the speed or capabilities. For what it is worth that is my opinion.
Question:	Does it work with frontier fios
Answer:	Model MR2600 is a much more advanced WiFi router than the 655. Range and speed experience can never really be predicted because of so many variables, including things such as obstruction, building materials, positioning of the router, neighbors usage, or even the time of day. However, one wireless router can give you a much better chance of better range and speed over another. In this case, model MR2600 advances your chances a great deal because it includes 4 antennas versus three and includes implicit and explicit beamforming which targets the WiFi signal to each WiFi client which helps with extended range and speed.
Question:	Are parental controls included, or least available to use with this router
Answer:	Model MR2600 will work behind a "modem" for Fios. Bearing in mind that this is a WiFi router only and not a gateway. Your existing device you have with Fios service is likely a device with a built in router. To use this external router instead, you will likely need to disable the built in WiFi router you have.
Question:	Does this router work with Verizon Verizon fios
Answer:	You can optimize the wireless in your router. Login to your router by opening a web browser and typing in the address field: 192.168.1.1 The default password is: motorola. Click WiFi > Advanced Settings. Under the 2.4 GHz, change WiFi Channel from "auto" to either 1, 6, or 11. (It may take a couple of tries before you find the right channel. Your neighbors are also using 2.4 GHz and that includes microwaves, baby monitors, blue tooth devices, car alarms, etc. Many interferences around you). Next, set the Channel Width to 20 MHz for the 2.4 GHz. Now go to the 5 GHz on the same page and change the WiFi channel from 'auto' to 161/80. Change the Channel Width to 20/40 MHz. Answer:	It works great for pressure cooking. I use mine all the time. I have the version that has 5 F degree increments. One thing we do is cook whole organic chicken for 10 hrs on high pressure at 205 degrees F (after the max pressure is reached) until the bones are able to be smushed. We just dig in to the whole "mess" and eat everything. My other cooktop has only increments of 30-40 degrees. That just doen't do for cooking many things that need precise temperatures. I can do those on the PIC. Be aware of this when shopping for cooktops. The timer function is GREAT when you want to do something long and slow.
Question:	Does it come with an app to manage your network from anywhere
Answer:	ALL of my cast iron le creuset pans work GREAT on this cooktop! what an energy/time/added-kitchen-heat saver! enjoy the combo!!i wouldn't recommend "scooting" the pan ANY cast iron pan across the cooking surface, just in case of rough spots on the pan that might damage the cooktop.special note: of course, the stoneware/bakeware won't work, but i'm sure that isn't your question.

Answer:	Major difference between those 2 models is max power. NuWave PIC can go up to 1300W and NuWave PIC Pro High Powered can go up to 1800W. In practice it means that you will be able to cook "faster" with Pro High Powered model but in the same time you will need to make sure that the wiring for your kitchen outlet is 20A. If it is not the case you will face frequent pops of your fuse on this outlet or create fire hazard if installation is not done properly. Just as a safety precaution manufacturer equips this kind of devices with special plug that will not fit regular 15A outlet. It means you will not be able to use it in a lot of places where there is no 20A outlet. I personally own basic version and it is sufficient for my cooking needs. Nevertheless if you are power hungry you may look for 3000W Induction Cooktop from other makers. This kind of equipment will set you up for alteration of you kitchen wiring to 220V. In general it is not that difficult since the most american kitchen should be pre-wired for this possibility.
