Answer:	great question and only luck , wins here, no matter what store you buy from, box is sealed and only the bottom sticker of said router (any) shows HW versions, a2 is newest HW version.( or higher, some have 5 or more versions) might be only ESD upgrades , ask maker that. the more important fact in this topic is firmware upgrades we do day 1, new, out of box. do not use wrong upgrades A1 or A2 or what you have, or you will brick the thing. read the sticker and match the rom.bin file to correct version. just like on PCs or well , gee anything on earth with firmware inside..

Answer:	As in, can a Linux computer connect to the wifi? If that's what you're asking, then yes. I had a Linux Mint computer when I was fiddling with this router. Worked fine. Router config using the web browser worked fine too. That being said, I returned the router. Range wasn't as good as my Asus router with no external antennae. But this D-Link is cheap, and taking that into consideration, it's probably okay. Also, doesn't work properly as an access point wired to an existing router.

Answer:	It broadcasts two separate wifi bands. One is the a 2GHz connection and the other is a 5GHz connection. You can read about the advantages and disadvantages if the two speeds online.

Question:	What square footage is the range for this without signal strength? We have 2500 sq ft to cover and our current router will not reach everywhere
Answer:	This D-Link will cover 2500sq/ft... However, the results vary according to the location and components found in the 2500sq/ft your trying to cover. Consider a central location unobstructed by dense wall materials or metallic components and your electrical systems that may interfer with any wireless signal.Never had issues with D-Link and this router offers bandwidth for handheld and larger (smart tv, etc.) tech.
Question:	Can you print from iPhone
Answer:	Another nice feature with the USB port, if you plug a printer into the USB port then you can print to it from any device on your network. SO if you have a smart phone, tablet, or laptop, all can print to the printer over wifi with the free apps that D-Link offers.

Answer:	*AC SmartBeam: Provides stronger, clearer and faster Wi-Fi by locating and focusing bandwidth to your devices
Question:	How is the range? Do I need an extender
Answer:	It all depends on how large your house is. I use it in my home and it's setup in the basement one one end of the house and it works throughout the house upstairs. A range extender could always be added later if you don't feel you're getting enough performance. Another option besides range extender that's popular is moca which allows you to use your cable tv cable in the walls of your house as a wired network if you don't have network cable ran already. You will need a moca adapter at the router and at each room you plan on using it in from my understanding but that was awhile back. Moca will also get you higher speeds than Ethernet but is limited to the connections you have. Another thing to consider is if you or anyone reading this goes the moca route it's best to install a filter at the moca adapter point and also at the point of entry to the house where the main connection first splits.
