Question: Anyone know if this router does Beamforming? This is a major feature of 802.11ac and I don't see anything about it
Answer: There can be 16 users per band on the RTA15; 32 total on both the 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz signals together. Brick walls are a very dense material for any wifi signal to push through that may cause loss in signal speed and strength.
Question: Can I connect this router ( Nest of ) time Warner router using DMZ mode
Answer: Normally you get like 90 day tech support. I called them after that and I did not have a problem with tech support. I have ad mine for about a year. At first it did drop out and I needed to reboot it, it has been approx. 2 months since this has happen. I did have problems at first with the unit and they exchanged it for another. Right now I am satisfied with the unit. It puts out more power than mu Cisico unit did. I did buy an Amperd WI-FI Extender RTA20. It seems like it is working good now.
Question: how many users max can use this and will it send strong signal through brick walls
Answer: you can use a extender for that. Cheaper too.
Question: Why does all the excellent reviews have the concierge # and the tech guys name on it.. should not a product work tech support
Answer: This, I believe will work with any cable internet connection. I purchased this as a gift for my sister. She has Cox cable and it works great.
