Answer:	If it's anything like the amped repeater/extenders (old REC10 for example) as long as you plug them within range of your router (REC10 recommends at least 70% router signal strength) you can have each extend your router's signal in the direction they are located. That gives you an access point at each (for example in opposite directions from your router, plus extending the wifi around each. In fact, I have extended my router's range by configuring one REC10 to extend another REC10 which is extending the router's original signal. I would be will to bet you can do all of this with this Netgear unit.
Question:	does it have to externaly wired to the router
Answer:	No. But it can be if your ability to extend diminishes quickly from the router due to walls, floors, tall furniture; etc. That's where wiring to the Extender (set to Access Point mode) helps
Question:	Does this unit create a new network or extend current WiFi
Answer:	It can be used in two different ways. If you just plug it into the wall and connect it to your existing WiFi, it creates a new SSID. Alternatively, you can run an ethernet cable to its location, where it will act as an access point to extend the existing wireless network.

Answer:	I straight out bought mine the old American way with my money, unhindered by any promotional or free offers. Also be wary of very good or very bad reviews wherein you do not see the words "Verified Purchase" by the posters name. I'm seeing a lot more of those these days and by my thinking they must be fake reviews because why would someone even post a review here on Amazon if they didn't buy it here? Makes no sense to me. Enough of that but yes I did buy it myself and had it almost a week now and am very happy and impressed with the NETGEAR N300 WiFi Range Extender (EX2700). Mine is fulfilling my purpose for it by providing a strong and solid WiFi signal to my AmcrestPro HD WiFi camera overlooking the outside of my house. My camera's live video feed is now constant and uninterrupted and my screens on my pc, my Android phone, and my laptop all no longer freeze up while I'm watching the live feed. The NETGEAR N300 WiFi Range Extender (EX2700) is a success for me. As for the bad reviews for it I can only surmise they are from user errors in trying to use this device. It's been solid for me and I'm thrilled with it.

Question:	can i put different password aside from the main router password? so only me can use my extender
Answer:	I would like to give you some personal advice. Do not buy any type of Netgear extender. They do not work at all. What you need to do is get a expensive router that is the best thing for your Wi-Fi system. Amazon can supply you with that. Or go to Best Buy and test it out. Trust me extenders do not work. You’re throwing your money away.
Question:	Does it need to be plugged in near the router
Answer:	Try using the extender's IP address - just enter 192.168.1.250 in the browser window, while the unit is powered and in close proximity to your router, which should be powered also, of course !

Question:	Does it work with Cox gateway
Answer:	This will work with any WiFi, as long as your modem has a wifi signal. All that is needed is your routers password. It is essentially a repeater, that takes the wifi signal and retransmits it. Works very well for me, no more dead spots.
Question:	If I move the extender, will it be reset
Answer:	If you have successfully set it up, there is no need to reset it. Unless you change a router, then you need to reset it.
Question:	can you connect it via ethernet and then use it to extend even further away from the base router
Answer:	Yes, you can definitely do that. I'm using it exactly that way and it works great.it works perfectly as a wireless access point. You do not have to have an existing wireless network in order to set this device up and use it.

Installation guide:

When the machine work normally, use the mobile phone to search and connect to WiFi 2.4G pro_xxxxxx or WiFi 5G pro_xxxxxx.

• --Step 1: Click repeater mode to enter the network search page.
• --Step 2: Select the wireess signal you want to expand. if it is a hidden network, you need to ade it manually.
• --Step 3: Enter your router connection password and click "NEXT"". if you don't want the same name as your router, please choose and input the new name.
• --Step 4: Click the "Finish" button to complete the relay mode configuration(The extended WiFi's password is the same as the routers' by default).
• --Step 5: Complete Repeater Mode setting.

Q1: How to get a better WiFi signal?

• Answer: Please place the extender close to the router first. After the setup is complete, move it to an area with weak signal for expansion.

Q2: What should I do if my extender disconnects frequently?

• Answer: If the extender is disconnected frequently, please shorten the distance between the router and the extender.

Q3: What should I do if the repeater is connected well and the Internet speed is slow?

• Answer: Check the status of the amplifier extension light. If it is red, move the amplifier position until the extension light is green. We recommend placing the extender in the middle between the router and the WiFi dead zone.

Q4: If I need to reconfigure the extender, how to reset it?

• Answer: The reset button is on the side of the extender. Please press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds and then release it. Wait for the factory settings to be restored. When the system light turns off and then lights up again, you can start resetting.

• ✔ - Repeaters and routers are recommended to be placed in a high and open place. Don't put it too close to the ground and the corner. This will affect the weakened signal. Placed in a high place can enhance signal coverage.
