Basically the powered antenna hooks to the RP-SMA slot, then has the powered hub, and then you put a % dbi antenna on it and it'll get 2x more antenna strength. Even 2x more then what you'll use for a higher DBI antenna. So if you use a 24dbi antenna, it'd more be like a 48dbi antenna. Answer:	This is a wireless access point not a router, that means that it only provides a wireless signal for computers, tablets phones etc. It must have a wired connection to it from the internet. It does not have a firewall so if you have a internet connection only at this time you should get a model with a router/firewall not this model.

Answer:	It's going to be connected to the same network and can have the same SSID. I use mine as an access point at the other end of the my house and gave it a slightly different name so I would know which device (my router also has wireless connectivity). I could always look at signal strength and tell the difference, but I like the slightly different name.

Answer:	I would like to give you some personal advice. Do not buy any type of Netgear extender. They do not work at all. What you need to do is get a expensive router that is the best thing for your Wi-Fi system. Amazon can supply you with that. Or go to Best Buy and test it out. Trust me extenders do not work. You’re throwing your money away.

Question:	Do you need more than this one
Answer:	It depends on the area you need to cover. I have three in my home and this works great. I just added internet to my cottage an hour away. I put one unit there. It is more than adequate. Also it was really easy to add another network. I was done before the installer was out the driveway.
Question:	Anyone running 1Gbps service through the mesh router
Answer:	I run gigabit... at the router I normally get 850-970 MPs... device side I get 150-180mps... I have tested 3 devices simultaneously and got those speeds

Answer:	This extender has worked for me on different TP-Link routers.
Question:	My house is hardwired but the main Wi-Fi router is in the extreme part of the house. Can this be hardwired and still provide seamless Wi-Fi
Answer:	Yes, it can work either hardwired as an access point or wirelessly as an extender of your WiFi network. The key to making a seamless network extension is by using the same wireless password as you use for your existing WiFi. This way devices can roam and you don't need to login again. I would recommend a wireless extender if you receive a good enough signal at your desired location. I find my Netgear signal as the strongest in my house. Your home construction will determine your strength of reception.

Answer:	We have it setup on the second floor with the main router on the ground floor.
