Answer:	I would like to give you some personal advice. Do not buy any type of Netgear extender. They do not work at all. What you need to do is get a expensive router that is the best thing for your Wi-Fi system. Amazon can supply you with that. Or go to Best Buy and test it out. Trust me extenders do not work. You’re throwing your money away.

Answer:	Try using the extender's IP address - just enter 192.168.1.250 in the browser window, while the unit is powered and in close proximity to your router, which should be powered also, of course !

Answer:	In my case, our router & cable internet connection was in my son's room. By the time we got to my room and other rooms in the house the connection got slower, more interruption, lousy TV streaming, etc. Now that we have this extender all of those issues have disappeared. No one can explain it in simpler terms than me because I listen to my son who is going to school for computer programming. I have no idea how any of this works! 

Answer:	I have the AC1200 Wifi Range Extender, (Model EX6150). It is worth the money as it seems to have a much more powerful range than my router. With both of them my range is extended significantly. the range easily covers a 3000SF highly insulated home (including all interior floors and walls). The Wifi signal is strong on 3 exterior porches as well. Setup was a breeze and the Wifi signal lights clearly let you know if you are too far from your router to power the extender.
Question:	Does it matter if my wall outlet is behind a piece of furniture? The only wall outlet I have available is behind my dresser
Answer:	I found out from experience that a mirror directly between your computer and the wifi router will weaken the signal. A metal filing cabinet would do the same, but wooden furniture doesn't hurt it at all.

When the wifi repeater extends wifi signal successfully, the indicator light is steady blue or steady red or blinking red. If it's red and flashing, indicates that the pairing is not successful, proceed to the second step. Step 2: Access the web-based management page, check if you can find the original router signal in the WLAN list. If you can't find the original router's SSID, please check: a. The distance between wifi repeater and your router, put them closer to each other. If the original router is too far away, the signal will be too weak to search. b. Answer:	If it's anything like the amped repeater/extenders (old REC10 for example) as long as you plug them within range of your router (REC10 recommends at least 70% router signal strength) you can have each extend your router's signal in the direction they are located. That gives you an access point at each (for example in opposite directions from your router, plus extending the wifi around each. In fact, I have extended my router's range by configuring one REC10 to extend another REC10 which is extending the router's original signal. I would be will to bet you can do all of this with this Netgear unit.
Question:	does it have to externaly wired to the router
Answer:	No. But it can be if your ability to extend diminishes quickly from the router due to walls, floors, tall furniture; etc. That's where wiring to the Extender (set to Access Point mode) helps
Question:	Does this unit create a new network or extend current WiFi
Answer:	It can be used in two different ways. If you just plug it into the wall and connect it to your existing WiFi, it creates a new SSID. Alternatively, you can run an ethernet cable to its location, where it will act as an access point to extend the existing wireless network.

Answer:	I straight out bought mine the old American way with my money, unhindered by any promotional or free offers. Also be wary of very good or very bad reviews wherein you do not see the words "Verified Purchase" by the posters name. I'm seeing a lot more of those these days and by my thinking they must be fake reviews because why would someone even post a review here on Amazon if they didn't buy it here? Makes no sense to me. Enough of that but yes I did buy it myself and had it almost a week now and am very happy and impressed with the NETGEAR N300 WiFi Range Extender (EX2700). Mine is fulfilling my purpose for it by providing a strong and solid WiFi signal to my AmcrestPro HD WiFi camera overlooking the outside of my house. My camera's live video feed is now constant and uninterrupted and my screens on my pc, my Android phone, and my laptop all no longer freeze up while I'm watching the live feed. The NETGEAR N300 WiFi Range Extender (EX2700) is a success for me. As for the bad reviews for it I can only surmise they are from user errors in trying to use this device. It's been solid for me and I'm thrilled with it.

Answer:	If you have an Internet installation (cable or Dish) in one apartment that is connected to a wi-fi router, you would be able to set up and pair the extender in the apartment with the wi-fi router, then plug the extender in an outlet in the other apartment. The extender network is protected with a password so only those who know the PW coils access your network connection.

Answer:	I have been using it for online gameplay and it has worked extremely well. I live in a basement apartment and the wifi wasn't great to play online and it was too far to set up a Ethernet cable. Answer:	Dan Blake has the correct answer if you want to use your existing SSID. You cannot set it up that way (same SSID) using the WPS method. You'll have to use a second computer or device (I used my phone). Additionally, you'll need to also use the same password(s) for your existing SSID(s) and restart Wi-Fi (let it reconnect once) on each device to get a seamless network. If you want new networks, you can name then anything you want and set whatever passwords you want.

Answer:	When it works, it works great. When it doesn't work, it's a worthless brick and customer service is absolutely reprehensible. The customer service line (since it isn't listed on the website is 888-638-4327) and the phone tree is rage-inducing, and the hold times are beyond ridiculous. I've been trying to get a human for about 15 minutes now, and I decided to fill the time by leaving warnings for others about their garbage-tier customer service.
