Answer:	Dan Blake has the correct answer if you want to use your existing SSID. You cannot set it up that way (same SSID) using the WPS method. You'll have to use a second computer or device (I used my phone). Additionally, you'll need to also use the same password(s) for your existing SSID(s) and restart Wi-Fi (let it reconnect once) on each device to get a seamless network. If you want new networks, you can name then anything you want and set whatever passwords you want.

Answer:	I would like to give you some personal advice. Do not buy any type of Netgear extender. They do not work at all. What you need to do is get a expensive router that is the best thing for your Wi-Fi system. Amazon can supply you with that. Or go to Best Buy and test it out. Trust me extenders do not work. Question:	How many do I need in my house
Answer:	Initially for set up, it is recommended. After initialization, all that needs to be done is for it to be in range of the router's WiFI signal. There are two modes of operation for this range extender: 1) Repeater Mode: which extends the existing WiFi signal from the host network. This is where you will want to initially locate the item near the router for set up. In this mode, you log in and select the SSID for your host network. You enter the Security key and the unit then connects. You define the repeater SSID (e.g. -EXT and -EXT5G). Once done, you can relocate the repeater to the target area and plug it in. You are then good to go. You can use the RJ-45 connector on the side of the repeater to connect items that do not connect via WiFi (e.g. some home entertainment items). If you have more than one, you can connect the repeater to a network switch (NetGear or equivalent) and you have a wireless and wired extension to your extended network. When you look at available wireless networks, you will see 4 SSIDs (if you have both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks): , , -EXT, -EXT5G 2) Access Point Mode (AP): This is the mode I chose to use as my two story home actually is wired with CAT-5E. In this case, I located the repeater close to one of the network jacks and plugged it in. I logged into the repeater and selected AP mode and entered the SSID information. The extender in this case extends the WiFi using the same SSID (and 5G SSID) and when you look at available networks, you see your two (if you have both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks). A network analyzer will see two signals with the same SSID and devices will select the one that has the stronger signal as you move from the host network to the extended network and back again. IF you want to connect devices that do not have WiFi connectivity in this case, you must connect a network switch to your RJ-45 outlet and connect the extender and the devices into the switch. Therefore, I recommend that the switch be one that supports 1Gbit connectivity as you are sharing the port to your main router including the repeater. I realize that this is a very wordy answer, but it expands on the instructions enclosed with the repeater which, unless one is familiar with networking, may be confusing as to which mode is best for you. If you had connected with 'Wifi Repeater' and your item still can't login in the website '192.168.10.1',then please reset it firstly. Question:	Is there a monthly fee for using this device
Answer:	No, I've tried several models. My 240Mbps service drops to 30Mbps using any extender. Only good for devices in locations where you get no connection or so weak signal doesn't stay connected.I have a 4k Firestick with enhanced wifi, which still has wifi inferior to Roku Stick & My Android Streaming boxes. Fire shifts from good to very good. "Good" isn't strong enough to use Firestick. With an extender I get consistent "very good", which keeps me from getting disconnected from my Fire DVR box. All these devices at same location. BTW, Roku Stick consistently works very well at the location. My boxes are: Bèelink GT, Minix U H 9, Skystream. Only the Minix has external antenna. Strange. After I reconnected directly with my Comcast 240 Mbps, My speed remained 30Mbps for a few hours!

Answer:	The answer is in two parts. 1. Connectivity to the router: YES, just press the WPS on your router first, then press the repeater WPS and within a few seconds it will connect. Then the next step. 2. Connectivity to the Repeater: This requires you to open your WI-FI settings in each device you want to connect to the repeater. Look for the network that has the extension _EXT or if you have 5G, then _5GEXT and select it. At this point all you need to do is enter your router password. For me, where I had 1 bar at 80' from my router, I now have 3 and 4 bars. I am super happy!
