Answer:	Not sure what you mean by compatible with ring. This extender takes your existing WiFi and adds an extension of it. For example, if your current WiFi is named Ring123, the extender creates Ring123-plus. Still the same WiFi, just stretched further. If your Ring is already connected then you should have no issues. I also use Ring and have no issues.

Answer:	Yes, it's all about placement. I live in a 5th wheel about 100+ ft from our trailer house. That's a lot of metal that will reflect your signal, so if possible, move your router as close as possible to a window facing your Camper, and set the Extender outside, midway or closer to the camper if needed. I used an extention cord and a clear plastic bag for cover, and put it up on a pole about 10 ft high, but I've considered setting it on top of a roof vent cover if signal seems weak. Set the antennae perpendicular (45° angle) for best signal strength and try to keep your windows clear, as that is where most of your signal will be able to penetrate that big tin box on wheels. Then it's just trial and error, keep adjusting their locations until you have the perfect signal inside.

Answer:	Mine caught on fire with a little 1500 watt space heater, and to compare, my hair dryer is 1875 watts (not plugged into a smart plug of course), so it doesn't take much for these to catch on fire. Be careful if you use anything in it larger than maybe a desk lamp in my opinion. I unplugged all 3 of my kasa smart plugs and won't use them anymore.

Answer:	Two parts to this answer... First, yes it retains it's settings if the power is off or it's unplugged. Second, I powered on my lamp then unplugged the unit from the wall. Upon plugging it back in after a couple seconds it turned itself back on (the last state it was in) and within a few more seconds re-connected to my wifi network.Hope this answers peoples questions about power outages and operation...

Answer:	This is the main thing I don't like about Ring Pro, they have not bothered to make it work with live view for Windows 7. This tells me that like many companies they don't care or bother to make their products backward compatible. If you decided to upgrade to Windows 10 despite all negative pushy attempts to force it upon us by Microsoft, you are in the Live View club. If you choose to stick with Windows 7 and wait until Windows 10 OS issues are resolved before upgrading or buying a new system, your out of luck. Thanks, Ring! Basically the powered antenna hooks to the RP-SMA slot, then has the powered hub, and then you put a % dbi antenna on it and it'll get 2x more antenna strength. Even 2x more then what you'll use for a higher DBI antenna. So if you use a 24dbi antenna, it'd more be like a 48dbi antenna. Answer:	This is a wireless access point not a router, that means that it only provides a wireless signal for computers, tablets phones etc. It must have a wired connection to it from the internet. It does not have a firewall so if you have a internet connection only at this time you should get a model with a router/firewall not this model.

Answer:	It's going to be connected to the same network and can have the same SSID. I use mine as an access point at the other end of the my house and gave it a slightly different name so I would know which device (my router also has wireless connectivity). I could always look at signal strength and tell the difference, but I like the slightly different name.

Answer:	Also note that the ethernet port is only 100Mbit. So if your existing WiFi is usually capable of more than 100Mbit, for example your WiFi internet is 150Mbit or more, you will only get around 100Mbit or a little less to your ethernet device. You'd have to pay a little more money for a different device with a GigaBit ethernet port if you want to get anything more than 100Mbit out of this ethernet port.

Answer:	I paired the extender with the router. Then I plugged the extender into an outlet at the far end of the house, a distance of approximately 120 feet. It has worked very well giving us a good signal through out the 218 ft. wide house on one level.
