Answer:	I read the Ring Team's January 2020 answer that the battery can sit in the box for a few months unplugged after charging it. I did exactly that, and when I took the battery out of the box, it had discharged. It took more than 24 hours to recharge it. This has happened with both of the batteries (the one that came with Ring 3 Plus, and the one that I bought as a reserve). I bought the second (reserve) battery to put into the Ring to minimize "downtime" on the Ring device on my door. The Ring Team reply seems erroneous.

Answer:	I have been running mine for 24 days now on a single charge. Initially I had it set to allow "live view" and it was really dropping the charge fast. In 3 days it went from 100% to about 80%. Now, after turning that feature off, it has gone from 80% down to 27% in 21 days. I think one reason for the rapid drain may be that our outside cat has figured out that if she sits on the garbage can, we will eventually open the door and let her in. I want to wait before recharging to see how long it will go before it starts begging for attention. Regardless of how long it lasts before requiring a recharge, I am going to purchase a backup battery so I can switch them out instead of having to worry about down time. In my opinion, Ring should package it both as it is currently sold and optionally with a second battery for those who do not have/want wiring. Yes I understand that there would be a price difference in the packaging but that is to be expected.

Answer:	I have it, and it's fast for detection so I have no worries for the average person (90%) who is going to rob you they WILL be seen and recorded...but a "smart" robber will have a 25 dollar wifi jammer to disrupt your network and your neighbors to get past it..but then you pair it with the ring alarm and as long as the cell signal is not jammed an alert should go off. I had a relo link camera, budget and with an SD card but it ate batteries and sometimes not record every event. This is a great device if you want easy and convince...but the best devices are expensive and wired only with a battery backup.

Answer:	I found out that yes, it most definitely is weather and waterproof, but in not so smart of away. I had my ring video doorbell 2 in its place by the door when hurricane Irma came through last year, and forgot that the doorbell was there until about 4 hours into the worst of the northeastern bands with the steady high winds and hang reason blowing sideways... which were blowing to the east - right at the front of our house. So at the point where I realized the doorbell was still outside, our power and internet were out but the battery was still powering the doorbell and I was worried about the internal electronics, but I took it inside, too out the battery, and put it on the counter and forgot about it for a few days until things started to settle down, and then the power finally came back on. so at that point, it was the Moment of Truth when I went and put the doorbell back in its place and when it reestablished its connection with the internet, every aspect of the doorbell worked just fine. It's been a year now since Hurricane Irma passed through Florida, and all the functions of the doorbell are still working just fine: the battery longevity, the speakers, the microphone, the infrared lights, and the camera lens are all fine. One other important thing to mention: our front door faces west and is right near the corner of the wall to the garage, which faces south. So, it goes without saying that it can handle the worst of Florida's relentless sun and humidity through the summer like a champ!!

Answer:	Same discovery as Howard stated above. The current software in these cams, it doesn't not appear on my Windows 10 Ring app on my computer. It appears fine on my Android phone, but I pretty much do everything on my computer. I'm at work at home Cybersecurity engineer, so I like to see everything on my computer. I have 2 spotlight cams (over garage and one over the backyard) 2 of these indoor cams in my house (1st floor) and the Ring doorbell. I can see everything but the indoor cams that cover my 1st floor of the house. I have read via threads and forums though that the software is going to update this year sometime and they will eventually appear in the Windows 10 app on your computer systems, so that is a plus. The Ring devices check for updates themselves over your wifi network, so I'm assuming they will update themselves at one point and they will appear on my Windows 10 app one day soon. I'm hoping...it's one of the main reasons I got these. I want to be able to monitor and check on my three dogs on the first floor of the house, while I'm working in my office on the second floor.

Answer:	Very unlikely, especially as most bathrooms are designed to place the outlet far from the shower. My 1st generation echo dot was basically inaudible at maximum volume from 5 feet away. The 3rd generation echo dot has much better speakers and is audible at 5 feet with the shower running at volume level 6, more than enough at volume 9. As this is less powerful than even a 1st generation echo dot I don't think it would work.

Answer:	The original stick up camera uses an older micro USB port. It was not the best outdoor solution and allowed moisture into the camera. The current stick up cams use the plug in connector that his water resistant. This should fit the newer spotlight camera and stick up camera. Answer:	13' as specified. I have purchased a couple of these. The cord is 13' and accounting for some slack needed both a the light placement and the solar panel, the panel and the spotlight can be placed 10-12' apart (The camera and light placed for the view and coverage needed but the solar panel positioned for the best exposure to the sun eg. south). Mine works very well.

Answer:	Depends on your TV or your setup. It will work with Alexa. You have to enable the Ring skill and link your Ring Account. Easiest to do on the web at alexa.amazon.com. Then you can use the Firestick or Fire TV. Then you can say 'Alexa, show my Floodlight Cam' or whatever you call it. Current Samsung TV's detect it too but you may have to go the the Samsung SmartThings hub to enable it.
Question:	Every video/review I have read shows the camera pointed straight ahead. There doesn't appear to be much left/right adjustment. How much
Answer:	Ours actually had a good amount. When it comes out the box, it is straight. But where we mounted it, we wanted it angled to the left. I would say that we had probably 30 degrees? Plus you are able to adjust the zone that it responds to.
Question:	Can the flood light bulbs be changed out when they burn out
Answer:	Simple answer is No or not easily. Ring will not fix or replace the bulb...Oh if you buy the extended warranty and they send you a whole new unit...What a waste!!! Or without the ExWar, you have to buy a new one to replace it so have to spend another $160 plus tax (they will give you a $100 discount to get a new one) for at max a $25-$30 bulb replacement! How is that for not being a part of the new Green Deal! This is a perfect example of customer NO-service in mind of the consumer SO BUYER BEWARE WHEN PURCHASING RING!!!! I guess I will try to jimmy-rig it like one of the consumers reported here to try but it outrageous and good bye to Ring, last one I purchase and I will tell any and all about this little (BIG) issue when purchasing an Ring product.

Answer:	Hello, Doors that close in front of Door View Cam, like screens and storm doors, can have an impact on Door View Cam's functionality. Glass doors usually let you see the camera's view, but you will need to turn off the night vision LEDs in the device settings, or the glass door will reflect them back into the camera, obstructing its view. Metal and mesh screens may partially or fully obstruct the camera's view and may also reflect the night vision LEDs. If Motion Detection is enabled, most outer doors will also prevent motion from being detected by Door View Cam until the outer door is opened. There isn’t a way to remove it without disassembling it from the inside of your home or breaking the device. If a thief does manage to remove it, Ring has a Theft Protection policy in place. Answer:	They shortened the range with an update in Sept 2019. We are lucky to get more than 10 feet out of it, and by the time the Ring is activated and alerts us the person is already at the door. We are fighting for them to change back for removing an advertised feature or full refund.

Answer:	No it only works for other ring devices. I’m not pleased about that when the device name says Wi-Fi extender. Just found out the hard way I need to buy another device for Netflix to play in the bedroom.
