I think you are asking if the range extender will improve the wifi reception of and Iphone 6. I setup the extender for exactly that reason (wife's iphone 5 had a dead spot in our bedroom). Found a spot where the extender had a good signal -- and greatly improved the signal in the bedroom. Problem was later obviated when the main router failed -- we replaced it with a mimo enabled router (Netgear R8000). |

I'd give more helpful specifics but I'm not where our repeater is so I can't look at it myself. Our router didn't have WPS either and setup was a breeze. |

Despite having a high quality router and high quality repeaters, we practically need to have one in every room to cover all 2500 (approximately) square feet of our old house. Once we get the router connected to the router, we are good. Sometimes we have to get creative and open doors and use extension cords to get that initial connection but once we get it, we're golden. (Owner of an a/c router, 2 dual wifi repeaters (up to 5GHz), and 2 single wifi repeaters (up to 2.4 GHz). It is optimal to use ehternet if you can, it is just faster. And then once you have your repeaters and router set up, try to have only one device hooked up per wifi channel. It will help make the whole system run faster in general. |

You'll have to use a second computer or device (I used my phone). Additionally, you'll need to also use the same password(s) for your existing SSID(s) and restart Wi-Fi (let it reconnect once) on each device to get a seamless network. If you want new networks, you can name then anything you want and set whatever passwords you want. |

| Answer: | I use comcast cable wi-fi and download speed thru my neatgear router I get 65mbps download, and 12mbps upload ... using this extender with it being about 20 feet from my router, then another 15 feet to the computer my avg speeds are 10mbps download, and 2 mbps upload. Due to this I moved the extender upstairs and use it mostly with tablet apps. I ended up placing a cat5e line from router to over to the TV to a 8 port switch box, and then cat5e cables from switch box to my consoles, and tv. I hope that helps? |
