Answer:	Hello Gabriel! The swift itself does not pick up 5ghz networks. The router can rebroadcast it as a 5ghz network. Generally when you are dealing with wanting range that is what the 2.4ghz network is better for, then once you are in an area that is short range and where you want to be able to communicate through walls better is when you switch it to the 5ghz. The reason we didn't make the antenna on the roof pick up 5ghz because the range is substantially less which is the main point of our product.

Answer:	This is what engineering says,"The WiFiMax has an RP-SMA connector for a 2.4 GHz antenna. If used with other equipment, ensuring compliance with FCC or other applicable regulations is the responsibility of the user." So yes you can, but it is on the user to make sure you are FCC compliant if you use your own antenna. Do note that the Falcon we have for this is a high gain directional antenna that automatically points itself, so if you are looking for something you aren't having to set up every time that is an option as well. Answer:	Dbi is a measurement of the power. The theory is, increasing the power should increase the range but it rarely works that way. The general rule is for a DB is every 3db increase doubles the power so going from say 5 to 8 would be 2 times but going from 5-11 would be 4 times the power. Problem is that signal loss over distance also follows this a similar rule so the rate you lose increases with distance.

Answer:	Bear with me... They're dual band. 2.4 & 5 GHz. The 5 is faster, but the range is much smaller. It sounds like your mesh node is too far away from the gateway. Your device is connecting to the gateways 5ghz network, but the node isn't getting the full 5ghz from the gateway. In 99% of homes, you can disable the 5ghz network and have better results, as most ISP's can't deliver speed to take advantage of the 5ghz network anyway.

Answer:	You probably don't need an extender for WIFIi signals that are strong. Just connect the extender to WIFI router with a weak signal that you need to use.
Question:	Step number one states to plug in the device next to router and wait for the W-lan light to blink. Mine does not, what do I do
Answer:	It absolutely does not, no matter what Daron Maloney says. This is ONLY for 2.4 ghz. It will only receive 2.4 signals, and it will only re-broadcast 2.4 signals. To this unit, 5.8 is invisible...it does not show up as it is not supported in any way, shape, or form.

Answer:	It will expend coverage. So let's say you have a modem with 100mbs speed and downstairs you can only get 10mbs by using this you will get more than 10mbs downstairs. However if your original modem can give 100mbs that's the max speed you can get

Answer:	assuming you mean audio amplifier, no, you cannot. BOOST has no audio outputs. you plug BOOST into your internet router and its sole purpose is to create a dedicated SONOS wireless network for all of your SONOS speakers to synchronize through. separating its network from your existing wireless network, helps with performance, particularly if you have a lot of sonos speakers in your house. if you are looking for a sonos device which you can plug into an audio amplifier, you are looking for the SONOS CONNECT (and audio inputs and outputs). but the CONNECT is significantly more expensive. my theory is they don't want to cannibalize their speaker sales so keep the price artificially high. i picked one up on craigslist for a good deal.
Question:	Does this work with 2.4G or 5G
Answer:	The boost sets up a private WIFI network off of the ethernet connection to the home Internet router. The user has the option to allow other devices to connect to the Sonos WiFi or they can lock the network so that only the Sonos Speakers use it. If you have problems with drop-out, the boost will help.
