Ethernet Cable Tracer or Telephone Line Tracer

1. Plug an Ethernet cable into the RJ45 connector on the transmitter unit, or telephone line into the RJ11 connector.

2. Slip up the Function selector switch to SCAN position. When the transmitter is in SCAN mode, it sends an alternating high/low tone on the cable.

3.Press and hold button on the receiver and listen for an alternating signal, which the transmitter sends on the Ethernet cable or telephone line. Use the probe to check the same high/low signal from among plenty of cables to find the target cable in the other end.

Metal Wire (no current) Tracer or No Connector Telephone Line Tracer

1. Use the alligator cable in the RJ11 port of the transmitter to test for metal wires (no current), or telephone lines without connector.

2. Slip up the Function selector switch to SCAN position. When the transmitter is in SCAN mode, the STATUS indicator will light.

3. Press and hold PUSH TO TEST button on the receiver to know about an alternating signal on the alligator cable which the transmitter sends.

4. Press and hold PUSH TO TEST button and use the probe to check the same signal sound from among plenty of cables to find the target cable in the other end.

Ethernet Cable Collation

1. Plug the two ends of Ethernet cable into both the transmitter and receiver RJ45 ports.

2. Slip down the Function selector switch to TEST position, the VERIFY indicator will flash.

3. The transmitter and receiver will automatically start a test sequence. A correctly wired cable will sequence from 1 to 8, 1 to 8, ad infinitum. Both the transmitter and receiver will sequence in the same order for standard Ethernet. G is ground, and if a cable grounded on both ends, the G should light before starting over at 1 again.

4. According to 16 wire sequences, judge the short circuit, breaking circuit, open circuit and crossing.

Battery Low Voltage Alarm

• The transmitter could provide the low voltage alarm of the battery: Slip up the Function selector switch to SCAN position, if the battery in transmitter is lower than 6V, STATUS and VERIFY indicator will light up at the same time, it means the battery should be replaced.
• When the toner is not in use, please remember to make the Function selector switch to OFF position, or remove the batteries. If not, the transmitter will continuously test the battery voltage and consume the power to the end.
