2 best batteries for flashes
Batteries for flashes, often referred to as camera flash batteries or speedlight batteries, play a crucial role in powering external flash units used in photography. These batteries are essential for providing quick bursts of high-intensity light to illuminate subjects in low-light conditions or to add creative lighting effects to photographs. Here are some key points related to flash batteries:
Battery Types: Flash units typically use disposable batteries like alkaline or lithium batteries or rechargeable batteries such as nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) or lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries.
Disposable Batteries: Alkaline batteries are common for flashes due to their wide availability, but they may not provide consistent power output and can drain quickly. Lithium batteries, on the other hand, offer better performance and longer life in high-drain devices like flashes.
Rechargeable Batteries: NiMH rechargeable batteries are a popular choice among photographers because they are rechargeable and provide good performance for most flash units. They can be recharged hundreds of times and are more environmentally friendly than disposable options.
Li-ion Batteries: Some high-end flashes use lithium-ion batteries for extended performance. These batteries are known for their high energy density, longer lifespan, and lighter weight compared to NiMH batteries. However, they can be more expensive.
Capacity: Battery capacity is measured in milliampere-hours (mAh) for rechargeable batteries and is an important factor to consider.Higher capacity batteries can deliver more flashes per charge.
Voltage: Most flashes operate at a specific voltage, and it's crucial to use batteries that match this voltage to ensure proper functionality and safety.
Recycle Time: The recycle time of a flash (the time it takes to recharge and be ready for the next shot) depends on the battery's capacity and the flash unit's power requirements. Using high-capacity batteries can reduce recycle times.
Battery Chargers: Rechargeable flash batteries require an appropriate charger. Some chargers offer fast charging, conditioning, and other features to maximize battery performance.
Preventing Battery Drain: To extend battery life, photographers often turn off the flash when not in use and use external battery packs or power sources for longer shooting sessions.
Battery Life Indicator: Many modern flashes have battery life indicators that help photographers keep track of battery levels, reducing the risk of running out of power during a shoot.
Compatibility: Ensure that the batteries you choose are compatible with your specific flash unit. Some flashes may have specific requirements or recommendations for battery types.
In summary, selecting the right batteries for your camera flash is essential to ensure reliable performance and avoid interruptions during photography sessions. Factors like battery type, capacity, and voltage compatibility with your flash unit should all be considered when making your choice.

User questions & answers
Question: | My family has two appartments next to each other, both separate electrical installations. Would this work if we wanted to split the internet bill |
Answer: | Yes the EX8000 used as a wifi extender you have the option of having a guest network. You can use same SSID name as your main router or use a different SSID altogether. I did have issues with more than one extender on the same network using same SSID name as main router so I had to change one of the extenders to a different SSID. |
Question: | Has anyone connected a ps4 of xbox one to the wifi from the range extender? if so, signal and game play any good |
Answer: | If you mean an AT&T router signal, yes. If you mean cell tower signal, then no. |
Question: | Does it create a new sid or does it exteneded your current sid, so one does not have to switch to differing networks when in range |
Answer: | the input voltage is from 100 to 240 volts |
Question: | I don't understand how some people give this 4-5 stars and others can't get it to work and give it 1 star |
Answer: | there are 4 ports. I use multiple ones as this is the only system I can find that does not change the network name but once a year I also have one break and have to replace it or hard reset it myself. |
