Answer:	I really don't know as of yet if this device does that or not. I run Linux (Debian 8.6, Linux Mint 18, 17.3, forget Ubuntu-I found too much spyware in that coupled with a wincrap laptop here somewhere) myself and just had not the time to mess with it on these features. It does work well on Linux under Ndiswrapper though I know I can do better with my own driver soon. Just had surgery on my eyes so give me a few weeks as they heal but you can contact me at Kstein_8551 at Yahoo.com. That is the public email address I use mostly. Another winmodem that does well with what you want is Netgear 6210 (1900-3.0usb) but you will have to download the chip source and make the driver for it. Not the netgear one. Answer:	The short answer is that 2.4 GHz will generally register as having better signal strength compared to 5GHz. Windows tends to prefer this, and most consumer routers won't signal the endpoint to switch to 5GHz. You can fix this by going to the advanced adapter properties, and seeing if you can set it to "Prefer 5GHz". Alternatively, the WiFi Mode setting can be set to a set that excludes 2.4GHz like 802.11 a/c/n/ac.

Answer:	I had the same problem. They provided a link to download the drivers, which I did. I installed them on my MacBook Pro and attempted to restart as prompted. My trusty Mac refused to restart even in "safe mode". Tried rebooting in recovery mode and again, would not boot up. I ended up reinstalling my entire drive from a back up drive. Total time wasted=5 hours and I sent this back for a refund. Don't bother wasting your money if you have a Mac, it will only cause you grief.

Answer:	Hey guys, I'm able to have it working on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS. I did follow the dkms solution posted by the other user; the script ran into an error, that's when I noticed the shell script requires a manual edit to edit out the version number for the driver's directory, once that's done the shell script ran just fine. Also, I had this adapter plugged into a USB 2.0 port, and the wifi would not accept the password; once I plug it into a USB 3.0 port (duh, lol) the wifi accepted the password and working just fine.

Question:	How far does the streaming go, like distance wise
Answer:	I tried using the adapter while listening music using the 3.5mm audio port in the controller and reached about 8 meters through one wall and then started cracking and then got disconnected, walked back a bit and reconnected.

Answer:	NO. This is a broken product. It does not work with any number of controllers.

Answer:	Sadly amazon has grouped the reviews for the older version (which I believe works for Windows 8.1 ) with the reviews for the newer version (which does NOT work with Win 8.1) - avoid the adapters that are listed in the product description as "66 percent smaller", as I found out the hard way these will NOT work with anything but Windows 10... be smart and don't be dumb like me and make the same mistake I did :P , before you buy, google " Xbox One Windows Wireless Adapter controller Windows Compatibility" and you'll come up with the Microsoft website stating that the newer adapters are Win 10 only, older adapters work for Win 7, Win 8/8.1 and Win 10... I think, don't quote me on this, that the older wireless adapter is bigger and has a circular button on the side as opposed to the newer adapters with a square/rectangle button on the front of the adapter (waiting for the older adapter to come to me in the mail from amazon so I know for sure :) ) .. check out amazon asin number B0785SFKYF (copy and paste that number into the amazon search box up there on the top) and it will pop up the older adapter.

2. Make sure your controller is updated with the latest data: On an X One console : Go to Settings and then Accessories. Select your controller and see if there's an update available. Connect an Xb Wireless Controller to your Windows 7/8.1/10 with the wireless adapter. (You may need to update the driver)

1. Turn on your PC and sign in. Plug the Wireless Adapter for Windows into your PC, Plug adapter in to a USB slot.

2. Press Pair button on Xb Wireless Adapter (it starts to flash), indicator light starts to flash. If it does not flash, it means you need to install a driver for your PC.

3. Press the Pair button on top of the controller (Not the Xb button, then the Xb button starts to fast flash).

4. Wait for pairing, When connected, the LED on adapter and controller both go solid.

Answer:	Well my AC1200 adapter max AC speed was 867mbps and I get 1.3gbps with this one. Granted you need an AC router than can provide those speeds.
