It is recommended that you safely remove the drive before you hit that power switch on the hub.I have this hub and use it to access 1 4TB drive, 2 5TB drives and 1 8TB drive. That is a LOT of data to loose just because I got lazy.The one reason to have switches on a hub is so that you can have the drives OFF when not in use. Answer:	It doesn't filter anything per se. It works by releasing negatively charged ions into the air which in turn attach themselves to particles in the air. Those particles then negatively charged get drawn to surfaces around you like walls floors ceilings etc. The ions attach themselves to any particles in the air. I would think that would include chemicals in fragrances as well, although I can't confirm for sure.
Question:	Will this work if plugged into a powered usb 3.0 hub
Answer:	The Airtamer does not actually "filter" anything. It produces ions that add a charge to air particles. This causes them to be attracted to and attached to oppositely charged items, such as surrounding walls, furniture, etc. I see no reason why this should not work with spores or mold. Since it is a static type device, it is likely to be most effective if you are stationary for a period of time and there is not much air movement, such as in a church service, a movie theater, an airplane, or sitting and reading at home.

Answer:	Yeah depend of what type of connection you have if you have a 1.0 yes if you have 2.0 yeah if you have a 3.0 maybe but don't xpect a 3.0 connection with this

Answer:	It will work...the Mac Mini has two USB 3.0 ports. Mind you this hub is only USB 2.0 so you would do better to get the one I linked below which is not that much more money and will drastically improve your speeds accessing external hard drives etc. If you just want it for keyboard and mouse, this one is fine, but since the price difference is negligible, go for the 3.0 version. I can't post a link but just search for USB 3.0 hub and buy the one that Amazon Recommends.
