Answer:	It should work fine. Keep in mind this is a gigabit switch and cat8 would more typically be used for 10gb networking but its all compatible.

No configuration is needed. Answer:	With my it does not work. My Mac has no port c, just Usb -3 and display ports. It dis not work with my MSI either, it does have a C port. It only worked on my Lenovo (c port) and my Samsung S10+ Cell. I do not recommend not, it should work in all laptops.

Answer:	Go for it. My son uses one with a small Crate ss practice amp, and it sounds phenomenal. He has to keep the volume on the pedal very low though - set above 9 o'clock it was not pleasant. Set around 8 o'clock sounded great. I tried it through a JC-120 and I thought it sounded as good as my George Dennis Wizard Rock, which is normally my favorite distortion pedal for JC. But again, finding the sweet spot in the pedal's output level was important.

Question:	I received a small cd with this device. what is the purpose of the cd
Answer:	Sorry, but no. Clever idea though. The hub is unpowered and needs to be plugged into a device. The hub talks to the device, and the device talks to the other nodes on the network via the ethernet connector. You can connect an external hard drive using this, but it works well only when the external HD is the only item connected. I use mine to connect my Chromebook when I can't get a WIFI signal and for a mouse, couple of flash drives, etc.

Answer:	Typically, no, this will not add the ability to connect a hard drive to your modem. You modem would need a USB port that supports hard drives already, and this could expand that USB port so you could connect more devices. Answer:	There is a firmware update that allows it to operate at 95W for the 16" MacBook Pro. I loaded it this morning, and it works great. Before it only registered the power adapter as 60W, now it shows 94W.

Answer:	HDMI-HDMI cable should work fine. It is possible that the extended display is disabled on your computer. Try to click WIN + P keys (in Windows 10) and check what options of display do you have. If you do not see the second screen, go to "Settings -> System -> Display" and try to detect the second screen there (there are many more options). Be sure that the USB Hub is connected to your laptop, the monitor is powered on, and the HDMI cable is plugged at both ends.
