Question:	Does device this plug into a usb 2 port on your computer and allow you to use 4 usb 3 devices, or must you plug it into a usb 3 port on your computer
Answer:	Hi, I have not tried this on an android so I can't say for sure. The one thing to keep in mind is that you need a full size usb port, and not a mini port, which most androids I've seen have. If the android has a full size usb port, I can't think why it wouldn't work, its a great product.
Question:	Can I connect computer 1 to this and computer 2 to this with usb harddrive connected to port 3 and both computers can see/share the single drive
Answer:	I initially responded "I don't know". But I really think it would depend on your car stereo. I'm doubtful. It worked great on my computer that has no microphone input to record old cassettes onto a sound file. But if your car had a USB input I would imagine it's only searching for data files. I hate prople that answer questions without knowledge or facts and I know it's what I'm doing but I'd be very skeptical.
Question:	can it be connected to an external hd
Answer:	Tried it on a USB 3 Hub with Windows 10. When I plugged it in the audio driver was corrupted and I got no sound at all. tried reloading and updating drivers, but had to revert to previous OS restore point to get sound back. So far my Windows 10 adventure has corrupted video and audio drivers, to the extent that I am thinking more and more about switching to Linux.

Question:	Will it work in HP Envy
Answer:	Hi. No direct experience with the Envy 13 but I confirm it works perfectly on a Lenovo E580 which has the same USB C port. The Lenovo's USB C port is also the charging port and this adapter performs this function too (power pass through). In the case of the Envy 13 it looks like there is a separate power port so you would have at least two cables attached to the machine when 'docked'. I would be surprised if there were any problems with the Envy. Hope this helps!

I have windows 10 and Ubuntu 18.04 installed as dual boot and this adapter is working perfectly so far. I have simultaneously connected Ethernet, VGA, USB 2.0 and Power port. Its working in both operating system. My laptop was fully charged, so I can't say it was actually charging or not, but it said its plugged in to a power source. Charging speed might vary depending on how many ports you are using parallely.

I am using it connected to a laptop USB-C port (kind-of-USB3) and remote desktop to that laptop from my desktop with three 2K monitors. Watching a demanding video stream is probably a good test for the speed of the remote desktop and its network connection.
