Answer:	no, it doesn't. The zipper is exposed. That is one of the reasons I bought it because I find that the extra fabric some cases have that go over the zipper frequently get stuck in the zipper.

Answer:	Ah the problem with cables! Short answer, yes, your computer has a female display port AND you want to connect to a HDMI capable display. (HDMI standard cables are male to male, so this works.) Longer answer, just as likely the MONITOR has the female display port and your computer has standard HDMI. This cable will work here too. So if you have one device with female display port (looks like HDMI with one flat corner) and want to connect a HDMI capable device this is the part you need. Either computer OR display. In my case, I have several Dell monitors with VGA and the display port. To use as a second monitor to my laptop (no VGA, does have HDMI) I needed this part. Also, for a Raspberry Pi computer to a similar monitor, I needed this part. Hope this helps.

Answer:	Maybe. The purpose of this adapter is effectively to do what you are asking about. I was just going to say "yes" but there are a few things you'll need to think about or confirm. 1. You'll need a standard (male to male) HDMI cable. A TV or monitor is normally a female port, just like on this adapter. By itself it will not work. 2. A device that actually uses a DP port, female. I use this part similar to what you describe. I have a computer with HDMI, a monitor that does either VGA or DP. From my computer I plug in a standard HDMI cable, which plugs into this adapter which then plugs into the DP port of the monitor. Works perfectly. So, answer is: Yes - just need the right other cables and ports.
