Answer:	To expand on the other answers: Yes the monitor supports VESA mounting (100x100) and yes the recessed mounting points make it a pain if your mounting plate is slightly too big. The depth of the recessed cavity is ~7mm (which is just a hair over 1/4th inch) so plan on ordering spacers that are, at minimum, that wide. The monitor's mounting holes require M4 bolts/screws, so make sure to order a kit with M4 screws and with enough length to compensate for the addition of the spacer.

Answer:	I'm not familiar with the Centurylink equipment mentioned, but when I looked it up, it seems to be a wireless router. You generally don't hook a router to another router; they both get confused or quit working. If you want to use the Centurylink with the D-Link, you'll have to use the Centurylink in bridge mode (where the routing and wireless capabilities of the Centurylink are disabled, the IP functions of the modem are suppressed, and the D-Link handles the connection specifics while the Centurylink functions as a dumb modem with no routing). Bridge mode may be straightforward and easy to control in the software, or it may be hidden and take internet research or a call to Centurylink or your provider's tech support.Again, the only way to do this is with routing disabled on the modem. I use an Actiontec DSL modem, and I had to go to their tech support to find out how to get into bridge mode.Frankly, this is an older model router. The wireless distance is fairly small, though the function set and control panel is very good. There are many better and more recent products on the market. I'm planning to replace this with a Belkin 802.11AC modem soon; they have better distance, more features, and much higher speeds (though I'll have to add high speed adapters for my laptops). The one real advantage of the D-Link for its price is the gigabit ethernet ports, though they've become more common on cheap routers.

Answer:	Chroma Subsampling of 4:4:4 is supported for 4K @ 60 Hz and runs at 17.82Gbps, but only with the default 8-bit BT.709 color. That’s the same color gamut as 720p and 1080i/p. The whole point of HDR is to increase color volume, which it can’t do unless there’s first an increased color gamut. That means stepping up to BT.2020, which in turn means 10- or 12-bit deep color. The HDMI 2.0 spec also calls for a minimum 10-bit color with BT.2020. From a menu where 4K is the main dish, and 60fps, 4:4:4 and HDR are the three side options, you can only choose two. As long as you keep it under 18Gbps, you can have 4K 60 4:4:4 (no HDR) = 17.82Gbps, 4K 30 4:4:4 10b-HDR (no 60fps) = 11.14Gbps, or 4K 60 4:2:2 10b-HDR (no 4:4:4) = 17.82Gbps. 4K 60 4:4:4 10b-HDR = 22.28Gbps and there currently isn't any 4K 60 4:4:4 HDR supported by HDMI 2.0. Answer:	HDR 10 is the standard and an HDR 400 monitor describes the brightness of a monitor within the HDR 10 standard. It is an oversimplification is to say HDR 1000 monitor is brighter than HDR 600 monitor which is brighter that HDR 400 monitor but it gets the point across. I am very happy with this monitor for what I do, mainly coding and writing. I would not consider a monitor that was not at least HDR 400 certified. Maybe in a year or two I would only consider an HDR 600 monitor but today they are too expensive and not that available.

Answer:	I had the exact same question in September when I was looking for a new monitor. I went to LG's website and found that both monitors had the exact same specs. (The only difference between the spec sheets is merely linguistic--one has "Radeon Freesync" and the other has "AMD Freesync," which are the same thing). I decided to go with the 27UN850 instead of the 27 UL850 on the off chance there were minor improvements to the internals, but, again, I couldn't find any difference on the spec sheets.

Answer:	I have been through reddit forums and everybody says they are identical, except for some aesthetics and menu. Big debate about if it has DP 1.4....my menu on the 34GP83A says "DP 1.1,1.2 and 1.4.....so I would assume it has DP 1.4
