Answer:	60hz is the maximum refresh for native resolution of 1920 x 1080. I tested 75hz, which is misleadingly listed as maximum vertical refresh rate many places for this monitor, but 1920 x 1080 at 75hz is not possible, even with a custom resolution forced. 75hz only works at lower resolutions, like 1024 x 768, which looks terrible so that's useless as far as I'm concerned

Answer:	From my understanding, you are basically correct: The -D version is the standard, same ports as the DX but includes a DisplayPort cable. Cannot take video in via USB-C/Thunderbolt. The -DX has the same ports as the -D but includes an HDMI cable. Cannot take video in via USB-C/Thunderbolt. The -DC has different ports, including a USB-C video input that would be useful for certain modern laptops with USB-C video out, but be careful because desktop videocards usually do not have USB-C video out. Luckily this still has DP-in and HDMI-in. I am not sure which cables it may include beyond the USB-C cable though.

Answer:	The G9 is not discontinued. Over the summer, Samsung had some quality control issues where the light was bleeding through the panel/bezel, which caused them to pull units and re-inspect/re-package them again. You'll know you got a repackaged one if you see a small blue circle sticker on your box and if it looks like the bottom was re-taped (like mine was). As of now (Sept/Oct 2020), they are starting to come back into stock more often on Amazon once a week, but it's best to set up an alert/email notification on Amazon or via nowinstock or an extension, as it sells out quickly. Usually within a few hours, especially now at the new lower 1349 price point. There is also a "business" class monitor of the G9 that is very similar to this model number. Not much is currently known about it.
Question:	did they fix the flickering issue? or should wait for 2021 version
Answer:	I updated firmware to 1008.1 for the G9 but still get minor flickering here and there when adaptive vsync is on. Enabling vrr fixes the flickering but causes stuttering. Bought a good quality dp 1.4 cable that will be coming in tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I may consider contacting samsung for repair/replacement. I know there are some that have bought this monitor with no flicker issues. Its certified as gsync compatible so it should be flicker free but unfortunately it's not. Never had that flicker issue with my previous gsync monitor that I've used for the past 5 years.

Answer:	Thanks for posting a question. This monitor is limited to 4K 30Hz using USB-C. To take advantage of the full 4K 60hz, you need to use HDMI or DisplayPort using USB-C to HDMI/DisplayPort adapter.
