Answer:	The two monitors are very similar. However, with the slightly larger price tag of the 239 comes the IPS display. While both screens have the same resolution, IPS technology resolves the issue of very limited viewing angle that can appear with non IPS displays, as well as improving color reproduction (i.e. the screen appears more vivid and closer to actual coloration). The 239 states that it has a 178 degree viewing angle, where color and shape of the image is lost even when looking at different angles. Answer:	Just general knowledge about visual technology: -response time is in ms (milliseconds). Which is better is based upon what you need. Smaller is generally considered better especially in the gaming and editing world, because it's almost "real time". Response time is basically the window between when something happens and when your monitor shows it happening. so if your monitor is at 2 ms and your friend's is at 14ms, you should theoretically see the same action 12ms before your friend. But only in ideal circumstances and if you're running on identical machines. Hopefully this makes sense. -since you're asking about response times, you should also know that Refresh Rates are important and NOT THE SAME as response times. It's generally accepted that higher Refresh Rates means "better" and lower response times are "better". Refresh Rates are measured in Hz(Hertz).

Answer:	The G9 is not discontinued. Over the summer, Samsung had some quality control issues where the light was bleeding through the panel/bezel, which caused them to pull units and re-inspect/re-package them again. You'll know you got a repackaged one if you see a small blue circle sticker on your box and if it looks like the bottom was re-taped (like mine was). As of now (Sept/Oct 2020), they are starting to come back into stock more often on Amazon once a week, but it's best to set up an alert/email notification on Amazon or via nowinstock or an extension, as it sells out quickly. Usually within a few hours, especially now at the new lower 1349 price point. There is also a "business" class monitor of the G9 that is very similar to this model number. Not much is currently known about it.
Question:	did they fix the flickering issue? or should wait for 2021 version
Answer:	I updated firmware to 1008.1 for the G9 but still get minor flickering here and there when adaptive vsync is on. Enabling vrr fixes the flickering but causes stuttering. Bought a good quality dp 1.4 cable that will be coming in tomorrow. If that doesn't work, I may consider contacting samsung for repair/replacement. I know there are some that have bought this monitor with no flicker issues. Its certified as gsync compatible so it should be flicker free but unfortunately it's not. Never had that flicker issue with my previous gsync monitor that I've used for the past 5 years.

Answer:	No, it is matte. I have a vision problem and I cannot even see a glossy screen because of reflected light off the screen. "Glossy" is relative, of course. Some light will likely reflect off of it but this screen does not have the "shine" problems that touchscreens invariably have. I purchased this specifically for the matte surface and even though my vision has worsened I can see it still. I use color reversal, which helps immensely. Unless we're talking about a different monitor here.

Answer:	It is a setting in the monitor menu, accessed through the buttons on the back of the screen, and can be controlled by you. It won't come on automatically. If you do want it to do so automatically, and you use Win 10, you can use the night light settings in Windows, which do the same thing, and set them to come on at a certain time.
