The -DC has different ports, including a USB-C video input that would be useful for certain modern laptops with USB-C video out, but be careful because desktop videocards usually do not have USB-C video out. Answer:	My understanding is that, this is new with new technology while the U3216Q one was using old materials and technology. New materials and technology can be and usually is cheaper, which does not necessarily mean it’s not as good. 2 cents.

Just be sure to set your laptop speakers to be the default, otherwise you won't be able to use the volume control from your laptop (it will think you have an external speaker connected through the port). Answer:	It might be "possible" but not out of the box. The stand that comes with it only allows for portrait mode. I have an earlier model (U2410) that I have used in portrait mode for years. But the 4320 is simply too big for that. However, it works much better anyway. You can get the effect of three portrait monitors side-by-side. There is plenty of vertical space at the standard resolution. This has been an amazing monitor and has made me much more productive.

Answer:	The monitor has a maximum preset resolution of 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz refresh rate and not 144 Hz. The monitor has a possible peak luminance of 400-nits during HDR mode.

Answer:	The monitors are exactly the same for both models. The only difference is the supplied video cable. The Q model (intended for business or professional use) comes with a DisplayPort cable. The QM model (intended for Home use) comes with an HDMI cable. FYI the other cables included are: Power Cable, USB Type C to USB Type C, and USB Type C to USB Type A.

Question:	How well does this work with a 2015 Macbook 12inch
Answer:	Yes it should work.. As my macbook pro connects from a mini display cable(thunderbolt) to hdmi. This monitor has Graphics connections of HDMI, DisplayPort and a mini display port (thunderbolt)
Question:	Is this a tn or ips panel. it doesn't say in the description
Answer:	No. And... This particular model of Dell monitor is not completely compatible with Macs. The video connection randomly drops (I had it happen every few hours). You have to turn off the monitor, disconnect the video cable from your Mac, reconnect it, then turn the monitor back on. Your desktop will change layout every time this happens. Search the web with "U2718Q and mac", and you'll find this on the Dell forums, Apple forums, and Reddit. Dell has not released an update to fix it and being as it's a year-old model it's unlikely they will. Apple's customer support will not help you, either. Other Dell 4K monitors seem to work just fine with my Macs.

Answer:	No speakers. It does have a headphone jack. So it can get audio from the display port or HDMI in and use headphones or speakers from the jack.

Answer:	If you’re setting resolution in Nvidia Control Panel you have to scroll down further. My 144Hz option is not under the HD resolutions it was under PC. So just look to see if there is another choice for the resolution that allows you to make the change.
