Answer:	Don't know if you got a legitimate answer but the weight of the display should zero out the force of it pushing up so only gonna stay if you have it attached. if not it will always spring back to full.

Question:	Does this monitor support vesa mounting
Answer:	To expand on the other answers: Yes the monitor supports VESA mounting (100x100) and yes the recessed mounting points make it a pain if your mounting plate is slightly too big. The depth of the recessed cavity is ~7mm (which is just a hair over 1/4th inch) so plan on ordering spacers that are, at minimum, that wide. The monitor's mounting holes require M4 bolts/screws, so make sure to order a kit with M4 screws and with enough length to compensate for the addition of the spacer.
