Answer:	It is a fan so the air it releases will depend on atmosphere’s temp. I use it mainly as a cooling fan for my MacBook Pro which gets hot on flat surfaces.

Even on the lowest setting, I find it very effective at keeping the laptop cool even when I'm using it all day long and the weather has been hot. Its not completely silent (I doubt anything that actually moves the air could be absolutely silent). The sound is minimal, but probably a little louder than the internal fan.

Answer:	Probably not as well as you'd think. Realistically, this thing would even have issues with a 15" notebook. A 17" notebook would end up covering up the intake part of the system, and even a 15" would do that partially. This thing was more or less made for a 13" laptop, and that's it.

So I do not think there is a need to turn them off (remember they are LED, so use almost no power). Be sure not to purchase a fan that is larger than is needed.

Answer:	Yes it will work for an Asus G751 17.3 ROG laptop. It holds mine up easily and I can apply pressure on top without it feeling as though it will collapse. Front feet on the laptop have about 3/8" of extra room and the back have about 1".
Question:	Is this ok to use in your lap
Answer:	I use it on my lap and it's fine. I will admit I bought it in April 2019 and the bar across the back but if you use it flat on your lap you won't have that problem.
Question:	Is it ok to use on the bed
Answer:	I bought one of these and it works great. However, I found that my old "rigged" setup worked even better. I got a cookie sheet a little longer than the laptop and two of those little bins you buy at Bed Bath and Beyond to hold knives and forks. I turned them upside down and put one at each end. This gave enough height from the bottom of the tray to put one of those square blue ice packs (I keep six of them in the freezer), and leave a gap of about 1/2", so the laptop is not sitting on the blue ice pack. Then, after buying this, I put it on top of the bins and it is great for the adjustability (especially if you are in bed), but for some reason it did not work quite as well. So I'm wondering if a plain adjustable mesh stand without the fans would work as well. I think I'm going to put this in my stroller bag for when I leave the house with the laptop and try a plain stand. I don't THINK moisture is getting into the computer the way I have it set up (wrap the blue ice pack in a thin small towel), but that may end up being a consideration. I guess I will see. I bought a very cheap refurbished laptop and I guess maybe some might not want to take the chance, though. I feel in my case it's worth a try because I don't have a real expensive laptop.
Question:	Can the lights be turned off
Answer:	I agree with previous answer. If you turn off the lights, the fans go off also. But you don't notice the lights, at least not with other lights on. I use mine in an office setting with regular overhead lights on and I don't notice any glow. If used in a dark setting, I suspect you would notice the lights though.

It's just power going from your computer to the pad, and nothing going the other way. If you have a newer mac with a USB-C (Thunderbolt) port...there are some great "docking stations" out there for $40-70 bucks that will serve you better. This is the one I have...I run 2 extended displays, usb mouse and keyboard, plus charge my phone. Question:	Can it be used on a 17.3" laptop
Answer:	It works really well for my predator helios 300. As long as your laptop breaths from the bottom it will work. I have found the biggest benefit is the dust filter. As this unit doesnt produce an overwhelming amount of air it just allows your normal bottom breathing cooler to finally work as intended in a dust free environment. I will warn though, once you have this base it will no longer be lap friendly. It is freaking huge. Worth it for the 15c drop.
Question:	Can you turn off the LED lights
Answer:	This GT300 model was engineered & designed to "suck" cool air from the rear dust filtered grill and then while your gaming laptop is sat heavily on the soft rubber seal on top, your laptop's bottom grills will suck in the GT300's cool air to cool down its heat pipes, and then exhausted at the rear of your gaming laptop. To answer your 2nd "very" good question there, the manufacturer do provide 2 pieces of plastic thing-ma-jig that came with an adhesive at one end so you can stick it on the "marked" spot on the GT300, so that, when your gaming laptop exhausts super OCed heated air out its rear, the GT300's cool air intake is just right below your exhaust, too, so having those 2 plastic pieces on their marked spots, the heated air can be DIVERTED upward and it won't be sucked in by the GT300's intake.
