Question: Inconsistent charging seems to be a problem for me, is there a reason/solution
Answer: I have had the Yoga 3 about 15 months and I find the battery life is not what's advertised. I have been using the Balanced power setting and I get maybe 2 hours during heavy use. If it stays in a standby mode I can get the better part of day out of the battery. I tired the Power saver mode and it was OK but the screen was more difficult to follow. Charging has not been an issue. I usually charge it from the 120 volt wall socket and I do have a voltage converter (12 volts to 120 volts) where I can charge the Yoga from my car from 12 volts. It will not charge directly from 12 volts; it has to be house current. I find that if the Yoga sits in cold weather the battery charge is reduced.
