Answer: No they are not. They are compatible with new iPhones either. That’s why I returned them.

Answer: Not sure. Monster is based in Las Vegas, but box says made in China. This is my second pair. I use them every day at work. Comfortable and great sound.

Answer: The black pair does not have a remote control, just a microphone. The blue pair has a remote. It works on Android 5.0+, but a little differently than on iOS. You can play/pause by tapping the button and you can hold the button down to activate voice commands if you have your phone set up for that.
