Answer:	It's light weight. I didn't weight it but it's material I would guess less than 1/2 pound.

Answer:	I carry a camera, all my cables for all my devices and a couple of books in the front pocket, which on mine zips. I'm sure you could carry a tablet in it a my 12.3" case has lots of space and stretches as well. I love my case, as it's not bulk but carries so much.
