Answer:	The strap is adjustable between 23" and 27" loop tip to bag top. The leather is thin, about 1mm. The stap is made from two layers sewn together. The bag is made from one layer of leather bonded to a canvas liner. It's a good compromise between durability and weight.

Answer:	There is no leather pad. But in all honesty, a simple leather pad would not allow a person to make good use of a bag of this size comfortably. This bag requires a large rubber pad like off a rifle sling. Rubber pads allow the carry of five pounds on the shoulder in an easy and comfortable way and looks good on the strap. Also, this high quality bag is priced low enough that even with the price of a sling it would be a fraction of the cost of a name brand bag from the mall.

Answer:	I think you would be pushing it. There is some room at the top where it closes.. SOME. not a lot. My approx measurements on my open bag are 10.5 in tall, 8.5 in wide, and 3.5 deep. I hope this helps. FYI, this bag is really beautiful. It's made well and it comes very well packaged. It's stiff and smells like new leather. I've had mine for a bit, and I've carried it everyday. It's starting to soften up!

Answer:	Hi - for me so far, it latches and stays latched fine without it being locked-it's not a hair-trigger at all. The caveat would be that there is some possibility of accidentally brushing against the latch (it's a pry-type from its top) and causing it to open. I never lock mine, but it doesn't "move around" a lot either. Hope this was helpful.

Answer:	48" is the shortest adjustment. I am 5' 5" and the top of the bag hits my hip joint when I carry it over my shoulder. I like it this length because it is easy to switch to wearing it cross body which I do when I'm shopping. There are 4 more holes in the strap each 1" apart if you would like it longer. And I'm sure it would be easy to put another hole in the strap, if you wanted it to be shorter.

Answer:	"First layer cowhide genuine leather" is NOT leather. When leather is made, the real leather, the stuff that you see is removed and the next layer is the thicker supportive later of the skin. That second part is covered with polyurethane which is embossed with the look of leather then colored to whatever the color manufacturer wants to resemble real leather. This process make "PU" leather which is polyurethane "leather". Look it up for yourself. Youtube has more than one description of the material. Just check the price, the "PU" leather is WAY cheaper than the real deal. Don't be fooled. I was.

Answer:	There was a picture of the inside of the tote and it held the other two purses inside it. The tote has on zippered pocket and on the other inside "wall" were two opened pockets for phone or wallet/glasses. The rest of the inside has no dividers. Just an open space.
