Answer:	~13.5 inches. i've a dell 2405 and the bottom of my monitor is 7.5" above top shelf, but it has a height adjustable stand and is sitting on top of 1.75' tall cable box. the sides line up with the outer part of filers.

Answer:	Just a heads up: the shelf is not 19 inches wide as it says here, it is 18.5 inch wide which it says on the box. But, that is the external measurement. The internal width is about 17.5 inches as each leg is roughly a half inch wide. Likewise, the 5.25 height is external, the vertical clearance under the shelf is 4 5/8 inches, again, due to the width of the frame.

Question:	The frost white colors looks like a matte clear color? Is it a true white
Answer:	The back is completely open. Front to back is about 10" (but again, since it's open, it could accommodate more). The width (left to right) at the bottom in between the legs is about 14". I had to widen it a little to accommodate the base for my laptop (it was easy-I just pulled the legs a bit, kind of like a wishbone!). The monitor stand is 14" wide and about 9" deep.It's been great for what I need!
