On a backpacking trip I managed to fit a fanny pack, 2 sweaters, a flannel shirt, a small toiletry bag, a raincoat, a towel, and about 7 days' worth of the shirts/bottoms/underwear. It was a VERY tight squeeze but the bag can hold a lot if you roll your stuff small and cram it in there! I wrapped the shoulder strap around it to take some pressure off the zipper too.
