Answer:	YES! It does make a crinkling sound that sounds like rice crispies. Not disturbing at all to me (pad is on couch right next to me) but cat seemed to be wary of it at first. I think most pets will get used to it.

Answer:	The tag only says hand wash. I washed it once so far on the normal cycle and deed in the dryer and it seems okay so far. I think eventually it might affect the waterproof nature of it, but I'm taking the risk.

Answer:	We purchased two (2) of these to deal with one of our cats urinating on our bed. We have caught him a few times urinating on the blankets and the liquid "absorbed" into the blanket but did not penetrate through it. Also, we regularly machine wash our blankets and have not seen a reduction in their "water resistance" yet. For me, waterproof means liquid would bead on the surface of the blanket, water resistant means absorption but no penetration through the blanket. I would call these "water resistant".

Answer:	Actually I beg to differ from the other two answers. It perfectly fits the mmgf2ll/a model. One reason it could be sliding off is because the base cover might not have clicked in place. The cover has 4 spots (2 on the sides: near shift keys on both the sides and two at the base: one on either side close to the tracking pad) where it actually holds on to the laptop base to prevent the sliding.

Question:	Does the bottom have slits for vents on the Macbook 12? The pictures and description are misleading
Answer:	I believe it does a great job of protecting your MacAir. I purchased mine in 2015, it is now 2021, and I have a very cracked and ugly looking case from dropping my laptop on concrete oh about 2018. The case held together and my laptop did not skip a beat. I'm going to finally replace this poor old case with a new one. I think it's put in its time heroically and I will remember it well as my protector!

Answer:	It was a little difficult for me as well. I recommend starting on the two top corners and then popping it off of the middle. the bottom of the case will come right off. Do the same for the bottom of the laptop. The most important thing is to trust that I will not break.

I, somehow, got a small grain of sand under the cover where it connects. it ended up moving around and scraping the finish. Luckily, it was on the underside. It is not designed to, nor would it protect against a fall, IMHO....although I've not dropped my Macbook. It is a fragile machine though. I bought a neoprene case for travel to protect against drops, and also opted for the square trade drop spill accident protection plan instead of apple care, which doesn't offer drop spill protection on its laptops for some bizarre reason. the cost was about the same with much better coverage.
