I use the regular size and have moderately heavy flow so I just take out the cup every eight hours instead of twelve. As far as clotting goes I am not sure since I get some but not to the point where they could be considered major.

Answer:	I bought my first cup just over 2 years ago and it still works as if it was brand new! I am ordering a 2nd only because I want to keep one at home and one at work for when I forget mine. A side note for care: 1) It will stain slightly, use cold water to rinse rather than hot. Hot water actually makes it stain quicker which I didnt know for the first year. 2) If by chance it does get a slight odor (it happens) its not the end of its life! Just boil it as usual at the end of your cycle and set it on a window sill where it will get sun for a day or two and its all good to go! This also will elimibate some staining :) They last a long time! $20 for period supplies for 2+ years versus $8 a month is well worth the switch!! Ill never go back!!
