Answer:	Yes books would fit but depending on how thick it is. I put 1 binding folder, 1 text book and notes and still have room. I've been using this for couple weeks now and it worked great at first but now it's fallin apart already my things in it are not even that heavy! The screw that holds the handle came off already. I can't use the handle anymore so I have to hand-carry it.. Which is the main reason I bought a rolling bag so I don't have to carry my things . It would have been a good book bag if it's durable and well-made..

Answer:	Hello,The only time I tried it I was in a small airplane and there was one seat next to mine. Most of the bag fit but it went into the other passengers leg room slight, maybe only an inch or so. If I was on the other side of the plane, with only one seat, I'm not sure it would have fit. The gentleman sitting next to me didn't mind so I didn't have to move the bag but if someone really complained, you may need to put it overhead.
Question:	In one answer, someone says this bag is 9 inches thick. In the ad, it says 5 inches. Big difference. Which is correct
Answer:	That would be confusing. On my bag, the main compartment that holds the laptop is 5 inches thick. That includes the little bumpout on the back from the wheel housing. There is another section with 2 zippered compartments on the front that you can see on the 2nd and 3rd pictures on the ad. The thickness of the entire bag with those zippered compartments, it is 9 inches thick. When I have traveled on an aircraft, I was able to get the bag under the seat and in the overhead bin, but on some smaller aircraft, they have checked it at the door at no extra charge. I guess it just depends on the aircraft and how crowded they are. But it's been a great bag for what I need it for.

Answer:	I own one and it stays open for me. I work in an office, and I sit it next to me, wide open, available to grab things stored in it or quickly wrap-up the day. Great buy. I have not regretted it one day.

Answer:	The case I received on January 30th (2021) in Los Angeles (delivered the day after I placed my order, so this had to come from an LA warehouse) has an OUTSIDE length measurement of 17 7/8 inches, not 18.5 inches. The inside length is 16 3/8 inches and the inside width is 7 3/8 inches. The two interior pockets fold flat against the sides, so the maximum inside width clearance between the folded pockets is only 7 1/4". For an inch and a quarter at the four corners, the double seams of the folded pockets cut the available width to about 7 1/8 inches. The overall OUTSIDE height is 13 1/4" from the base of the four brass-button feet to the top of the handle, lying flat against the case top. The folding top of the case is just a double layer of thick vinyl with heavy stitching. The top of my case DOES NOT fold over and stay open. For that you would need the metal piano hinge closures of a more expensive case like Stebco makes for traveling salesmen. However, those are going to cost you 3x the price of this bag. This case also lacks an interior crush proof plastic shell like the higher price bags. Both ends of the case are thin plastic shell on the inside, and the sides feel like fiber board covered in vinyl. You can sit on some of the Stebco professional cases. Don't try sitting on this. It will bend out of form. All things considered, this Heritage Case with free shipping ($56+ on Amazon) is the best deal available. It has a 5 year (rather worthless) guarantee, but at that price don't expect to be returning it. This may last you a lifetime, but it is not really designed for that. Don't expect to put it through air travel with your checked luggage. It won't last very long in the hands of commercial baggage handlers. However, if you intend to be kind to it, it should last for decades and you'll get your money's worth. Bottomline: definitely good value for the money.

Answer:	Well, it has a bottom but the insert walls are not attached to bottom / stuff slides out of a compartment into the other ... id like the bottom sewn to the middle part so it is really separated. It will suffice til i find a better one ... this could be improved Oh and itd be nice to have a little set of handles to pull it up out of pocketbook ... i have to take stuff out just to remove it as it has no tabs or pulls of any kind I don’t recommend/

Answer:	Yes, it appears to be real leather. There are areas on the inside where you can see and feel the inside of the leather. Note that the color looks just the same in person as it does on my screen which is a little more orangish than other typical leather bags.

Answer:	I can't compare it, but I can say it's a 5-Star item. I'm the 'IT Committee' chairperson at the Brookfield Vol. Fire Co., in CT. We recently purchased two laptops for our line officers and the case I chose was the one in question. It's just right! Not overly large, fairly light, tough, has the right configuration and number of compartments and pockets. Basically it's clean, simple and does the job. We like them.
Question:	What are the inside measurements of this case ? I need a minimum of 16 x 11.25 inches inside the case
Answer:	Mine just arrived. The EXTERNAL dimensions are 16.25" x 11.13" x 2.5" thick. I don't know who is measuring this, but I checked carefully with two tape measures. My 16" diagonal screen Toshiba Satellite laptop which is 15" wide and 1.5 thick barely fits. It is difficult to get it in and out of the case and you need an extra hand to remove it to hold the zipper open so it will come out, otherwise it hangs up on the ends. I would say if your laptop is more than about 14.5" wide, get something else. I'm returning this one.
