Answer:	No way to drop into the sink. It needs to be emptied and wiped out periodically.

Answer:	In this ad, there are 2 different drain racks. The measurements I am giving are for the drain rack with the extended curved handles. The actual drainer is 19 L x 11.5 W x 8 H (to the top of the handles). The tray below is 17 L x 13 W x 1.75 H. There is a compact version that looks similar but the handles don't extend out away from the dish drainer but are merely at the top of each edge. I don't have that model so I'm not sure what those measurements are. I hope that helps.
