Answer:	The owner sets a personal code which must be used to activate and use the drive. If the drive is removed from the computer it automatically locks and is disabled.

Answer:	Hello, it will beep thrice once you enter the correct password to unlock it. It will beep thrice as well once you set a password successfully.

Answer:	This is a very touchy subject. If they have a way of providing you a code to unlock it, then it can be hacked. just my opinion. The answer provided by seller was by someone where their native language Isn't English. 2nd thing- there is no key-chain attachment. (easier to lose it)

Answer:	Not that I know of... OS boot drives do not require secure encryption backup. That is not their purpose. Keep OS boot backup simple and easy. Data comes later,... after you have the system working reliably.
