Answer:	I use mine manually. It works for me like any thumb drive. I back up what I want and can keep it or transfer it to another computer. You do get the option to delete what you have copied to the iXpand drive.
Question:	Can I save iTunes purchases movies to this device and watch them on my iPad
Answer:	the truth is: all Apple iTunes video purchases are DRM protected. Supposedly, this is done to eradicate "Piracy" however, a very simple workaround that's quick & easy is: TunesKit M4V Converter. As of this writing (17SEP2019) it works perfectly, I use my Microsoft Surface Pro 6 to remove the DRM and then I load the movies & TV shows to SanDisk iXpand
Question:	can you easily download pictures from your iphone to the drive and then upload them directly to a windows pc folder or windows hard drive
Answer:	I downloaded over 7,500 files from my iPhone 7 to my Dell laptop. It was surprisingly fast, BUT! 1.) The dates of all my images were changed to the date of the download, so I have no idea when I took the photos. 2.) iXpand did not download any of the videos that I took with my phone; said that they were corrupt and/or missing audio. In fact, the movies play beautifully on my phone and when I downloaded them directly from the iPhone. Of course, that begs the question of why bother having this thumb drive if you have to connect your phone to your computer.
