Answer:	For slides an 8gb drive should be fine. You figure that an 8gb drive will hold a few high quality movies, or a few thousand high quality songs. It should hold thousands of slides even with images.

Answer:	That SanDisk Cuiser is 128GB. That's a VERY BIG STORAGE capacity. To find out how big a file you are trying to save, just click on that file to highlight it, then press COMMAND plus the letter I. It will bring up a dialog box with all the information about the file you are trying to save, especially the size. Then, as an added measure, once a certain file is Highlighted, go to VIEW, scroll down to VIEW OPTIONS and check the SIZE box. That will show you in text the size of the files on your desktop. NOW....you say you want to back-up EVERYTHING on your laptop. In that case I would recommend an EXTERNAL HARDDRIVE with at least 1TB, that's TERABITES, of storage capacity.
