Answer:	Blackmagic Disk Speed Test indicates about 100 MB/s read and about 10 MB/s write. But there must be something else coming into play. If I boot from an external SSD connected by a SATA-to-USB 3.0 cable, my system boots up fine and is responsive. If I boot using the same bootable disk image on the Kingston USB drive, it is agonizingly slow to boot and operate.

Answer:	No prong extends. It is one solid piece. The end fits into the USB port and only goes in only so far. I love this drive. It is extremely sturdy. I put mine on my key ring, so it is always with me. I highly recommend this drive.

Answer:	Mine is several years old. Where is my primary USB drive, but I use for client support. I am an IT pro. Mostly I use it for set up files of various types. So it gets heavy use. There is a lot of heavy wear and tear, if you can see in the scrapes and scratches. I also machine washed it once, and it worked fine after air drying for a few days. This particular Kingston USB 2.0 is very compatible with pretty much every computer I’ve ever touched. Have more trouble with the newer USB 3.0 drives . Including Kingston. A lot of times, a computer just won’t recognize the fast drive, no matter what USB port I plug it into. So I always go back to this particular model. And it works.

We are in the future. Why the heck would anything not have a light on it? I have a light up toilet seat, light up washer and dryer, and even a light up coffee table. If it doesn’t have a light on it, it doesn’t deserve my money, plane and simple. I understand your question and I understand your plight. This POS does not have a light on it. Answer:	Miguel, the red ring on the USB isn't the best quality. If you do use it as a keyring, be gentle with it. Normally I need very rugged items because I'm in a hurry and I don't pay attention to things like walls and beams. This USB resides in a plastic casing that is not designed for my abuse on an everyday basis. If you are looking for a keyring USB, look for a metal enclosure like Iron Monkey. You could put this on a neck chain and it might work just fine that way. I see this being pulled in and out of a pocket ten times a day and it breaking after a couple of weeks. On a neck chain it would not be subject to that type of abuse. This is sturdy as any USB stick but making it a keyring changes things a bit. The ring connector on this USB device isn't strong enough in my opinion for that.
