Question:	What is the read write speed
Answer:	Michael, I don't know what the chipset is, but I can tell you that I bought 100 of these drives, and very few worked. I ended up throwing away almost 90 drives, and the ones that were good I'm afraid to give to my students, fearing they will fail as soon as someone tries to use them.

Answer:	There is about 1.81 gb of available storage on this 2 gb thumb drive. Songs vary greatly in size, however, I think it should hold three hundred songs or more.
Question:	will this work with windows 8 and is it easy to use
Answer:	I think they are supposed to be compatible with both Mac and PC. I bought 100 of the 2 gb drives. So far I've tried to use about half of them, and only three or four worked. On some of the others I could load nothing, but on some I could load a few files and then the drive could no longer be used. I'll probably just throw out the others without testing them. It's too time consuming and frustrating. Plus, if the drive seemed to be good today, I don't have any confidence that it would be good next week or next month. So my advice would be not to buy any of these really cheap flash drives but to pay a little more for name-brand drives.

Answer:	Yes, the flash drive works with all platforms, Windows 7, Windows 8, OSX, you name it. If your computer comes with Windows 8, it definitely has USB 3.0 ports. So all you have to do is plug it into the USB 3.0 port (which is usually colored blue) and it will work at its intended speed!

Answer:	Files larger than 4GB can NOT be stored on a FAT32 volume. Formatting the flash drive as exFAT or NTFS will resolve this issue. WARNING: Backup your data. Formatting will delete all the data in your device. I personally went with NTFS and had no problems after that.
