Question:	The hole on the end looks very small. How well do these flash drives fit on your keys
Answer:	I agree with the first responder who said that the width of the thing on the end is an issue. It causes the drive to not want to move freely on my keychain, which causes it to occasionally poke my leg while in my pocket, or just feel a bit awkward. I never experienced this with my Kingston drive, which has a wide hole that is flat and symmetrical, allowing it to move freely and sit flat against my leg while in my pocket. I also had a hard time getting my key loop through the hole. My keychain is one of those that has a small steel wire loop with a locking mechanism. The end of the wire has a small grommet which was just a bit too large to fit through the hole of this Samsung drive. I had to drill it out a little bigger, which was very difficult to do, and scratched it up a bit. Now that it's one the key ring, it digs into my leg a bit, as I mentioned. Overall I am displeased enough with the design that I'm here looking for something else. I would have stuck with Kingston but it was so SLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW.

Answer:	I've had few of the 32gb and 64gb for years and gave them away, since I have the 128gb and 258gb. All have worked really well for me during my int/dom travels and on the go daily non-office work drives. Know I keep my electronic equipment well maintained, but put them through rigorous use that even tech people are surprised. So for me the PNY grey lil flash drives are great, however I am curious about the 1t reliability. Which I have recently purchased and still testing.

Answer:	I purchased three of these, assuming since they were 3.0, that they would function reasonably fast in a 3.0 port. Unfortunately, I found that not to be the case and, as another reviewer noted, the speed seems to be quite inconsistent. I now use them only for situations where file transfer speed is not critical.

Answer:	Bought 4 of these a few years ago. The back of the package of 2 had "Made in USA" and 2 other ones had "Made in Taiwan". The ones made in USA transferred around 57MB/s and the ones made in Taiwan transferred around 105MB/s. I lost one of them, but the other 3 are working fine transferring files between my laptop and Nvidia Shield.

Answer:	They can get very hot. I have the 128 GB and the 16 GB. Both get very hot so that it might be a problem to touch them after longer write operations.

Answer:	I have the 128 GB and the 16 GB. Both tested on several computers. At larger file transfers the writing speed goes down to 5 MB/s and even stops completely for some time. Desperately I tried all Windows file systems - there was pretty much no difference. I have so many SD cards and sticks - this product has the worst write performance I have ever seen.

Answer:	All USB flash drives will transfer the heat from your PC. A nice metal flash drive just does this much more efficiently. The plastic versions only hide the fact that the inside is getting very hot, thermally transferred from the PC main board. So this is both a good thing and a bad. If you cannot touch it because your PC is hot inside -- it's bad.

Answer:	The top end speeds are affected by the following factors. File size: Writing/Reading one large file will be faster than doing the same with many small files of the same total size. Host device disk speed: If you are transferring files from a host device with less than 200MB/s sequential disk speed, the flash drive will be limited by the disk's read/write speed. USB bus speed: If your USB port is not at least USB 3.0, you will absolutely not get more than 60MB/s as that is it's rated max, with an even lower 1.5MB/s on USB 1.0. (note that actual speed is often lower than rated speed) CPU Throughput: Even if your device is not limited by the things listed above, your CPU, if low enough in throughput, can cause data-rates to drop dramatically. There are many other outside factors that can change this but these are the most likely. I hope this was of help.

Answer:	My 128gb version was an abnormally tight fit causing the housing that inserts into any device to break. It has always run hotter than full size USB's when after 10 months it eventually failed.

Question:	How do you open it
Answer:	You guys are warm !! The heat generated is not from amperage, but from the tiny circuitry being forced into service. In comparison the USB path looks like a freeway to a straw - something like that. I RECOMMEND BUYING AN AUX DESK FAN - the USB 120mm multi-speed @~ 13USD is a decent enough amount of wind to keep a full size hard drive, that DOES use amperage (for the motor,) nice and cool - so it should work with what's plugged into your laptop or even a RAID deal going on. I'm just looking into this as the "next-vehicle" for ambitious dudes, deans, and danes. It is an effective alternative to an under-lappy cooler. Keep that air circulating! Another option is to heatsink it - if it can be done - maybe somebody sells somthing that will move the heat away by conduction and then radiate it - I can see an easy design. But you would sill want the fan on a hot day.

Answer:	For slides an 8gb drive should be fine. You figure that an 8gb drive will hold a few high quality movies, or a few thousand high quality songs. It should hold thousands of slides even with images.
Question:	Can i use this to back up everything on my laptop so i can reinstall windows 7 & not lose all my stuff? how do i find out how big a stick i need
Answer:	That SanDisk Cuiser is 128GB. That's a VERY BIG STORAGE capacity. To find out how big a file you are trying to save, just click on that file to highlight it, then press COMMAND plus the letter I. It will bring up a dialog box with all the information about the file you are trying to save, especially the size. Then, as an added measure, once a certain file is Highlighted, go to VIEW, scroll down to VIEW OPTIONS and check the SIZE box. That will show you in text the size of the files on your desktop. NOW....you say you want to back-up EVERYTHING on your laptop. In that case I would recommend an EXTERNAL HARDDRIVE with at least 1TB, that's TERABITES, of storage capacity. I have both and use the 128GB just for iPhoto files and images. Hope this helped. Will be happy to answer any more questions.
