Answer:	I purchased three of these, assuming since they were 3.0, that they would function reasonably fast in a 3.0 port. Unfortunately, I found that not to be the case and, as another reviewer noted, the speed seems to be quite inconsistent. I now use them only for situations where file transfer speed is not critical.

Answer:	Bought 4 of these a few years ago. The back of the package of 2 had "Made in USA" and 2 other ones had "Made in Taiwan". The ones made in USA transferred around 57MB/s and the ones made in Taiwan transferred around 105MB/s. I lost one of them, but the other 3 are working fine transferring files between my laptop and Nvidia Shield.

Answer:	For slides an 8gb drive should be fine. You figure that an 8gb drive will hold a few high quality movies, or a few thousand high quality songs. It should hold thousands of slides even with images.

Answer:	That SanDisk Cuiser is 128GB. That's a VERY BIG STORAGE capacity. To find out how big a file you are trying to save, just click on that file to highlight it, then press COMMAND plus the letter I. It will bring up a dialog box with all the information about the file you are trying to save, especially the size. Then, as an added measure, once a certain file is Highlighted, go to VIEW, scroll down to VIEW OPTIONS and check the SIZE box. That will show you in text the size of the files on your desktop. NOW....you say you want to back-up EVERYTHING on your laptop. In that case I would recommend an EXTERNAL HARDDRIVE with at least 1TB, that's TERABITES, of storage capacity. Answer:	No, this is a USB-A thumb drive, the larger port on all computers. Many newer better android phones have USB-C (small, oval shaped). Most still have micro-USB (small, trapezoid). The easiest way to tell the difference is if you can flip your charging cable upside down and it still plugs in then it's C, otherwise it's probably micro-usb. I would google photos of the ports to verify. Anyway, there are several thumbdrives that have USB-A on one side and USB-C or micro-USB on the other side. You could also get an OTG adapter for this thumbdrive to plug it into your phone. I'm not sure what software would transfer your photos to the thumbdrive, but I'm sure there are 1000 different options. The built in photos app lets you select days or individual photos and 'copy to folder' on an external drive. Other software might automate the process by copying them all when you plug in the drive. Personally I would recommend Android's built in backup&sync. It will upload your photos when you're on wifi. I think it's on by default, so you should go to google's photo webpage (amazon won't allow link), and log in with the same account you use on your phone and see if all your pictures have already been uploaded. If not, it shouldn't be too difficult to find instructions for turning on backup&sync for photos. On mine there's a switch in the photos app when I look in the 'Camera' album. Answer:	I agree with the first responder who said that the width of the thing on the end is an issue. It causes the drive to not want to move freely on my keychain, which causes it to occasionally poke my leg while in my pocket, or just feel a bit awkward. I never experienced this with my Kingston drive, which has a wide hole that is flat and symmetrical, allowing it to move freely and sit flat against my leg while in my pocket. I also had a hard time getting my key loop through the hole. My keychain is one of those that has a small steel wire loop with a locking mechanism. The end of the wire has a small grommet which was just a bit too large to fit through the hole of this Samsung drive. I had to drill it out a little bigger, which was very difficult to do, and scratched it up a bit. Now that it's one the key ring, it digs into my leg a bit, as I mentioned. Overall I am displeased enough with the design that I'm here looking for something else. I would have stuck with Kingston but it was so SLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWW.

Answer:	The math doesn't work for memory size. If they are 256mb each ie 1/4 gb, that would mean a total of 2.5gb for all, not 8 as advertised. If they are 2gb each as stated, it should be a total of 20gb. Hope to get clarified before purchasing as seems very misleading.

Answer:	No, this is a USB-A thumb drive, the larger port on all computers. Many newer better android phones have USB-C (small, oval shaped). Most still have micro-USB (small, trapezoid). The easiest way to tell the difference is if you can flip your charging cable upside down and it still plugs in then it's C, otherwise it's probably micro-usb. I would google photos of the ports to verify. Anyway, there are several thumbdrives that have USB-A on one side and USB-C or micro-USB on the other side. You could also get an OTG adapter for this thumbdrive to plug it into your phone. I'm not sure what software would transfer your photos to the thumbdrive, but I'm sure there are 1000 different options. The built in photos app lets you select days or individual photos and 'copy to folder' on an external drive. Other software might automate the process by copying them all when you plug in the drive. Personally I would recommend Android's built in backup&sync. It will upload your photos when you're on wifi. I think it's on by default, so you should go to google's photo webpage (amazon won't allow link), and log in with the same account you use on your phone and see if all your pictures have already been uploaded. If not, it shouldn't be too difficult to find instructions for turning on backup&sync for photos. On mine there's a switch in the photos app when I look in the 'Camera' album. FYI: uploading doesn't mean they're shared. Unless someone takes a great interest (time&money&hacking) they're pretty safe.
